Dana-Farber Cancer Inst. Sponsors "Gay" Halloween


The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is proudly sponsored the Gay Men's Domestic Violence Program (GMDVP) Halloween Party last week. The clinic's Office of Diversity sent out an email encouraging people to attend. It's odd enough when corporations sponsor sodomy, but even odder when a medical facility does so.

You can read the usual PR gobbledygook on Dana-Farber's diversity training, but you'd still have no idea that they think anal intercourse and leather/BDSM make for a "fantastic party."

GMDVP has cleaned up its web site significantly since last year, when we found these photos advertising their 2006 Halloween Party. This is the sort of fun Dana-Farber wants its employees to go and join. From Dana Farber's intranet site:

What's happening this week: Get tickets to a fantastic Halloween party by Oct. 19.
The Office of Diversity and Organizational Development is one of the sponsors of the Gay Men's Domestic Violence Project's annual Halloween party on Oct. 28, from 6-10 p.m. The office has nine tickets available for Dana-Farber staff members who wish to attend.
