Transgender Rights Bill Hearing Coming in Late January

Left: Holly Ryan of the Mass. Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC)

Bay Windows is reporting that H1722, the "Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes" bill, will come up for a hearing before the Judiciary Committee in late January or early February, according to State Rep. Carl Sciortino. Sciortino advises the GLBT community never to compromise on their demands, but always ask for everything they can imagine: "...the LGBT community should always push their lawmakers to deliver the ideal, even if those lawmakers claim it cannot be done."

If you think things are bad now, get ready for unthinkable craziness on the street, in your place of work, in the courts. Some examples: If a "transgender" person applies for (or holds) a job in your company, and is not hired (or is fired) for some reason completely divorced from his sexuality, watch out for a lawsuit anyhow. We'll see girls' bathrooms in public elementary schools used by boys -- if they say they feel like girls that day. Women's health club locker rooms will be forced to allow she-males. If you can imagine it, it will come -- because "gender identity or expression", the fanciful concept (not reality) protected by this bill, is undefined. If passed, this bill will bring further chaos to Massachusetts (then move on to the rest of the country).

From Bay Windows, "Trans Activists Call for an End to Violence" [what violence?]:
... The afternoon before the Day of Remembrance ceremony MTPC held a town hall meeting at the church to talk about its political priorities, particularly House Bill 1722, a bill that would add gender identity and expression to the state’s anti-discrimination and hate crimes laws. Rep. Carl Sciortino, one of the bill’s sponsors, said the bill will likely come before the judiciary committee for a hearing in late January or early February.

Sciortino urged the audience to be uncompromising in their push for full equality. Citing the federal fight for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, in which House leadership passed the bill after stripping out trans-inclusive language, Sciortino said that the LGBT community should always push their lawmakers to deliver the ideal, even if those lawmakers claim it cannot be done.

"Elected officials in that crazy world in the State House or in Congress down in D.C., we’re forced sometimes, given circumstances, to make compromises. But as a community you should never, ever say it’s okay to compromise on civil rights. If our organizations and we as individuals go to our elected officials say, it’s okay to compromise me now as long as we get there eventually, you’re not doing justice then to push them to the next level," said Sciortino. He said that the fight for H.B. 1722 will be challenging and that the LGBT community needs to be prepared to stand firm and push their lawmakers to back full equality for the transgender community.

Holly Ryan, co-chair of MTPC, said the loss of gender identity language in ENDA shows the importance of pushing for those protections at the state level. "The reason we need to pass this now is the federal government isn’t going to protect you now, but the Massachusetts legislature can," said Ryan.

Romney's Hypocrisy on Judges & "Gay Marriage"

Candidate Romney is calling for a Massachusetts judge he appointed to resign, because she released without bail a former murderer -- who just allegedly murdered again across the country. Besides calling into question his judgment on judicial appointments, this also raises another huge question:

Why didn't Governor Romney call on the four JUDGES of the Mass. Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) to resign in 2003, 2004 or 2005, after they violated the Massachusetts Constitution -- and put all of America on course of societal destruction, enshrining sodomy as a basis for marriage? They weren't just releasing one murderer; they were creating chaos for all of America.

Mitt Romney refused to support removal of the Mass. judges who ruled
homosexual "marriage" was a right
in the Massachusetts Constitution!
Romney is shown here at a State House press conference
in June 2005, where he announced his support for a flawed
(and doomed) marriage amendment.
[MassResistance photo]

We've documented in our "Mitt Romney Deception" report that Romney refused to support our effort to remove the four errant SJC justices. (Read his June 2005 press conference here.) But he wouldn't explain why he wouldn't support their removal! Maybe because he promised the "gay" Log Cabin Republicans that he wouldn't do anything to hamper the expected marriage ruling by the SJC?

Don't forget this in the New York Times, "Romney’s Tone on Gay Rights Is Seen as Shift" (9-8-07) :
Mitt Romney seemed comfortable as a group of gay Republicans quizzed him over breakfast one morning in 2002. Running for governor of Massachusetts, he was at a gay bar in Boston to court members of Log Cabin Republicans. Mr. Romney explained to the group that his perspective on gay rights had been largely shaped by his experience in the private sector, where, he said, discrimination was frowned upon. When the discussion turned to a court case on same-sex marriage that was then wending its way through the state’s judicial system, he said he believed that marriage should be limited to the union of a man and a woman. But, according to several people present, he promised to obey the courts’ ultimate ruling and not champion a fight on either side of the issue.
“I’ll keep my head low,” he said, making a bobbing motion with his head like a boxer, one participant recalled....
And, in the aftermath of the Massachusetts court decision, Mr. Romney, though aligning himself with the supporters of a constitutional amendment, did order town clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Some members of Log Cabin Republicans say that in doing so, he ultimately fulfilled his promise to them despite his own moral objections.

Romney's 2005 press conference sheds light on this. It proves that he did understand that the SJC acted unconstitutionally in its 2003 marriage ruling, and that it ordered only the Legislature to act, not the Governor! . . . So why did HE take it on himself to implement sodomy "marriage", when the Legislature (as he admits) did nothing prior to May 17, 2004 (and did NOT change the laws which still authorize only a man and a woman to be married).

While Romney said that the SJC failed to follow the "separation of powers" and "engaged in legislating" and "it was an improper decision on their part," he also shrugged off his responsibility to enforce only laws passed by the Legislature. He tried to wriggle out of his responsibility, and hand it over to the citizens. Remember: no homosexual "marriage" law has yet been passed in Massachusetts. But Romney went on to "enforce" the SJC ruling, instructing his executive departments to issue new marriage licenses and perform the marriages!

Romney also said at the 2005 press conference that the main problem with homosexual "marriage" was not the rightness or wrongness of homosexual acts themselves: "I don't believe that the institution of marriage, meaning in the sense of people being able to combine as adults, is the primary factor at stake. I believe instead it's the development of future generations which is involved primarily in the definition society places on marriage."

Whoa . . . What does that phrase "combine as adults" mean, after all? In the case of male homosexuals, we all have a pretty good idea. But Romney doesn't believe that was all that important to talk about. Either sodomy is a serious moral wrong, or it isn't. Which is it, Mitt? If it is a serious moral wrong, how can it not be a primary factor when we speak of the basis of "marriage"?

Primary voters should take a close look at Romney's bizarre actions -- and inactions -- in that period from November 2003 through the end of his reign.
Twenty months after he put a career prosecutor on the Massachusetts Superior Court bench, confident in her law-and-order credentials, Mitt Romney called yesterday for the judge to resign because she released without bail a convicted killer who went on to allegedly kill again.
Eric Fehrnstrom, a Romney spokesman, said yesterday that Judge Kathe M. Tuttman should never have freed Daniel T. Tavares Jr. on personal recognizance in July, after he was charged with assaulting two prison guards. Tavares, 41, was near the end of a 16-year sentence for stabbing his mother to death in 1991 and had threatened in a letter - intercepted by prison officials in February 2006 - to kill Romney and other state officials, Fehrnstrom said.
On Monday, after five months in hiding, Tavares was arrested for allegedly shooting to death Brian Mauck, 30, and Beverly Mauck, 28, newlyweds who lived near him in a rural area south of Tacoma, police said. . . .
When Romney appointed her in April 2006, he was under pressure to put more women on the bench. A registered Democrat, she had worked since 1989 as a prosecutor in Essex County, where she was director of the family crimes and sexual assault unit.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We don't want to mar a national holiday with commentary on the decline of American civilization. (And how depressing that Massachusetts, where the Pilgrims landed, should be the launching pad for some of the worst attacks!) So we decided this was a good week to take a break.

Don't worry folks -- and that includes our good friends at Bay Windows (Hi Ethan!), QT (Have a blessed day, Mark -- our thoughts and prayers are with you!), and associated haters on the GLBTQQ left -- we're just on vacation. Back soon with our detailed analysis of the "Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes" Bill H1722; a few new bombshells on our friend Mitt; and other good stuff!

Transgender Bathrooms at U of Southern Maine, Soon in Mass.?

Our friends at the Christian Civic League of Maine have reported that one hotbed of queer activism there, the University of Southern Maine, is now serving up "transgender" bathrooms.

Here in Massachusetts, the "Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill" (H1722), if passed, will bring us not only trans bathrooms, but trans health clubs and locker rooms! Won't that be a place the girls can relax, showering next to a guy (let's imagine he's "pre-op") who feels like a girl that day? And it's only up to the individual to determine if he/she/? is "transgender" or "expressing" his/her/? gender appropriately; it's not up to the people around him/her/? . If anyone (especially the business owner) were to object to a "she-male" showering in the women's locker room, they'd be guilty of unlawful discrimination!

Bill H1722 also covers all Massachusetts public schools. And not on a temporary basis. No discrimination would be tolerated on the basis of "gender identity or expression" (undefined). It would apply to all grades, K-12, and would bring chaos in our school restrooms, hallways, classrooms. And you think they were messing with your kids just pushing homosexuality? Get ready...

From WorldNetDaily:

University sanctions transgender bathrooms: Facilities set aside 'for those whose gender may not conform with societal stereotypes'
November 18, 2007
Students using the seventh-floor bathrooms at the
University of Southern Maine's Glickman Family Library this week were in for a surprise when the standard symbols for men and women on the doors were covered with a sign announcing the facilities were now "designated as gender neutral."
With university approval, organizers for the 4th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, held Friday, erased all distinctions for restrooms at the Glickman meeting site, according to Mike Hein of the
Christian Civic League of Maine.
"The USM library bathrooms are designed to accommodate several people simultaneously, and they have no exterior door locks," he said. "Men and women were seen entering and leaving the bathrooms freely, often together as groups, throughout the transgender event." ...

"Bigendered" Speaker at Mass. Transgender Conference

Every day, a new word for our confused, ever-evolving pansexual vocabulary list. Now, we encounter "bigendered"!

The transsexual/transgender Tiffany Club of Massachusetts is hosting its annual "First Event" conference in January at the Peabody Marriott. Its keynote speaker is "Juli" Owens, who calls himself "bigendered" -- and is clearly a man (sometimes) posing as a woman. Listen to his manly voice here.

"I'm more than a cross-dresser, but less than a transsexual, and that's OK, that's a choice that I've made." Hmm ... a choice, not born that way?
And soon, if the Massachusetts "Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill" H1722 is passed, you'll have to accept his sort of choice in public places, private businesses, even your churches and schools.

Already, even without a "trans rights" law, the Peabody Marriott has no problem hosting this event, and has already sold out 291 "room nights" to attendees. After all, who would want to miss the pool party, or the fashion show to be hosted by a transgender man (posing as a woman). [11-27-07 Note: This fashion show host has requested his photo and identification be removed ... which we have done. Unlike the homofascists, we honor such requests when the person in question claims his personal safety may be jeopardized -- which was never OUR intent. We simply want the public to understand what "transgenderism" and "transsexuality" mean.]
Back to Juli [emphasis added]:
Juli Owens is a Bi-gendered biological male. She has been aware of her uniqueness since the age of 4 or 5, and has been crossdressing publicly for almost 30 years. Despite our society’s lack of understanding and acceptance, she has successfully balanced her life with a formal education that includes an engineering degree and an MBA, a 30-year career as a manufacturing manager, and as a husband and father.
Juli is extremely active in the Long Island LGBT community. She is a member of two Long Island Transgender support groups, the Long Island Trans Experience and the Long Island Femme Experience. Juli is a member of the Long Island Transgender Day of Remembrance Committee, and has been an active participant in the service for the past 3 years. She is also a Board Member of LIGALY, the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth Center. ... In March 2005, she attended her first Congressional Lobbying Day in Washington DC, where she met with Senators Clinton and Schumer’s staff.

New Web Site: Republicans for Family Values

From Peter LaBarbera's new web site, Republicans for Family Values:

John Haskins Discusses Gov. Mitt Romney’s ‘Unconstitutional’ Order to Award ‘Gay Marriage’ Licenses in Mass.

Listen HERE to John Haskins of the Parents Rights Coalition in Massachusetts explain how then-Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney made the unnecessary and, according to Haskins, illegal decision to pass out “same-sex marriage” licenses. Haskins says Romney’s “gay marriage” act violated the state constitution and, perhaps most shockingly, fulfilled a 2002 campaign promise he made to Massachusetts Log Cabin Republican activists not to lead the charge against homosexual “marriage” — as the New York Times reports HERE. (The New York Times story is a devastating revelation of Romney’s late conversion to crusader against “same-sex marriage”/”civil unions.”)

Bay Windows Attempts Cover-Up

Lies, filth, and cruelty: Bay Windows, the extremist homosexual/transgender Boston newspaper, has attempted to cover up their role in damaging an Acton minor youth, whose mother has exposed the dangers their radical community poses to our society -- and especially to our children.

They have tried to scrub from the web two articles where they piled on in the attack on this family, and even published the child's name, working with an accomplice blog, QueerToday. But MassResistance has saved these articles, and will preserve them for posterity. (They've told at least one person over the phone that they never published the Sept. 27 article!)

Here's the September 27 piece they don't want you to see (which appeared only online, not in their print edition): "Anti-gay activist's daughter allegedly in Laramie Project cast," by Ethan Jacobs, 9-27-07, ejacobs@baywindows.com. Mr. Jacobs secretly contacted the child via Facebook, trying to entice her to do an interview with Bay Windows.

Their October 4 edition contains their own editor's reference to this Sept. 27 column, and letters responding to it, which also made their print edition. Hard to cover that up. (Yes, Bay Windows, we've preserved your online version of this too.) They also tried to scrub an earlier article, which we've saved.

Clearly, Bay Windows belatedly realized that they were on very shaky legal ground reprinting lies from QueerToday, and going after a minor child. And they still are on shaky legal ground.

Five-Star Totalitarianism

By John Haskins

Christmas lights? Does this story even matter? No, of course not. . . . Except that it does. See:

"Red, green lights to be banned? Committee proposal says colored Christmas twinklers too religious" (WorldNetDaily, 11-6-07)

A special task force in a Colorado city has recommended banning red and green lights at the Christmas holiday because they fall among the items that are too religious for the city to sponsor. "Some symbols, even though the Supreme Court has declared that in many contexts they are secular symbols, often still send a message to some members of the community that they and their traditions are not valued and not wanted. We don't want to send that message," Seth Anthony, a spokesman for the committee, told the Fort Collins, Colo., Coloradoan. He said the recommended language does not specifically address Christmas trees by name, but the consensus was that they would not fall within acceptable decorations.

This is in Colorado -- not Massachusetts or San Francisco.

Why does it matter, you ask, frog that you are, sitting in the pot of water, enjoying the warmth ... as the temperature slowly rises?

Thinking in strategic terms about the Enemy's war plan, as C. S. Lewis was when he wrote his short classic The Screwtape Letters, this little "test balloon" is designed to help lazy Christians and their Lexus-driving pastors get used to the idea of Big Brother gradually evolving into the polar opposite of what our Founding Fathers designed. Can you handle an oppressively, anti-Christian state imposing gradually, more and more aggressively an official ideology that is actually ... AntiChrist-ianity... upon a nation founded by Christians, until every town, every school, every business, every shop, every church and every family has passively accepted the transition? Red and green holiday lights are just too ... religious. But don't worry. Relax. Enjoy the warm water. They're giving you plenty of time to get acclimated.

This is not your grandfather's old-fashioned, concentration-camp totalitarianism. It's the five-star version. An extremely comfortable variation of a hybridized Marxist-Fascist paradise, with no need for an archipelago of concentration camps, no starvation, no tanks in the streets, or firing squads. Just because the Christians may not have freedom and their children may never know what America was, doesn't mean they won't still have their shopping malls, their satellite TV and their SUVs.

Some symbols "... often still send a message to some members of the community that they and their traditions are not valued and not wanted. We don't want to send that message..." No, we don't want to send that message -- not to anyone who might be offended by the religious heritage of the country they are living in. We just want to sent that message to Christians. "You, your traditions and your beliefs are not valued. Shut up and go away. Oh, wait. Not so fast. You can leave the kids with us."

"Romney for President" Ads on Gay.com

Need we say more? Romney has proven he is without principle.

"Romney for President" Ads Appear on Gay.com
by Bryan Ochalla
Gaywired.com
Thursday Nov 8, 2007

Being the presidential hopeful with the heaviest Web advertising presence can be a difficult position to be in-sometimes it means your campaign ads will show up in unexpected places. Republican candidate Mitt Romney is finding that out the hard way, according to a recent article in the New York Times.

Apparently, banner ads saying "Mitt Romney for President-Vote Team Mitt!" appeared on Gay.com for two days this past August-appearing at least 32,000 times. Romney’s aides claimed to not know about the ads when contacted by the newspaper, which received its information from the Nielsen Online AdRelevance monitoring service. The same report indicated thousands of "Romney for President" ads also have appeared on FanFiction.net, a site used by those who like to write stories about their favorite fictional characters (some of which involve X-rated situations between the likes of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger).

Romney’s aides told the New York Times campaign ads are not supposed to appear dating or "alternative lifestyle" sites, nor should they be appear on sites with pornographic images, gambling or left-leaning political content.

Rev. John Rankin Gets It: Romney Failed on "Gay Marriage" in Mass.

[Update 11-8-06: The entire article referenced below has been posted on the Christian Civic Leage of Maine web site.]

How refreshing to see this piece by a prominent Christian commentator who gets it: Romney blew it in Massachusetts on "homosexual marriage"!

Rev. John C. Rankin, President of the Theological Education Institute (TEI) and the Mars Hill Society, bases his analysis on the important work by Atty . "Robert Paine" and John Haskins, published by MassResistance. In the TEI Update #189 (11/6/07, not yet posted on their web site), he gives an excellent summary of how Romney failed in his oath to uphold the Massachusetts Constitution and its separation of powers mandate. He agrees with our "Article 8 Alliance" effort to remove the Supreme Judicial Court Judges who defied the Constitution in the Goodridge "homosexual marriage" ruling -- which Romney ignominiously failed to support.

"Could Romney Have Stopped Same-Sex Marriage?" Rev. Rankin answers, "YES!" Excerpts from his analysis:

... A good Christian friend of mine contacted me several months ago, asking if I would be willing to serve on the "National Faith and Values Steering Committees" of the Romney Presidential Campaign. Now apart from other reasons, one reason I could not do so is due to Romney's failure to take his constitutional executive power to hold an out-of-control Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court accountable. So I was put in touch with the Romney campaign, hoping first to raise my concerns with Governor Romney himself. That did not happen, but I was able to communicate with a member of his staff, who was very gracious as he sought answers to my questions from the campaign's legal staff. I was unsatisfied with their answers.

Earlier, he writes:

The greatest strength of our nation is rooted in the fruit of the Reformation and the First Great Awakening. The appeal in the Declaration of Independence to unalienable rights given by the Creator is unique in the history of modern nations. And too, rooted in a biblical understanding of the sin nature, the U.S. Constitution, as well as state constitutions, put into place a series of checks and balances so that power could not be centralized. The executive, legislative and judicial branches of government each had their prescribed duties and limits of power.

Sadly, over the years, the power of the state and federal judiciaries have slowly taken too much power, making law instead of interpreting it, and especially because of weak legislatures. The Supreme Judicial Court forced same-sex marriage upon the Massachusetts Legislature in its 2003 Goodridge decision, being emboldened by the same Legislature which had just mocked and denied the will of the people calling for a statewide referendum on the definition of marriage [referring to the first marriage amendment, unconstitutionally blocked by Senate President Birmingham in 2002]. And as I argue elsewhere, same-sex marriage redefines rights, and effectively gets rid of unalienable rights from the Creator, thus making rights a subjective definition where "might makes right."

In the face of this judicial usurpation, what could Governor Mitt Romney have done in late 2003 or early 2004, prior to the Legislature's action? ... I would like to see Governor Romney show why he could not have pursued the following course of action. ... Governor Romney could have called the four members of the SJC who voted for Goodridge into public session before a joint assembly of the Senate and House. He could have thus challenged their unconstitutional usurpation of power, and dismissed any from the bench who would not recognize the SJC's constitutional limits, and/or for lack of "good behavior." This is a rarely invoked clause, indicating moral failure, but Goodridge was a rare violation of due process.

... here was the most marvelous opportunity in the nation, in many years, for a Governor to defend and strengthen the constitutional separation of powers, and to check runaway judicial activism. But Romney not only caved to the SJC, and to the onslaught the Boston Globe and New York Times would have given him, but I saw no articulation on his part concerning the gravity of the separation of powers issue staring him in the face.

What High School Boys Don't Learn

There are serious health risks our high school boys never learn about when they're told to celebrate homosexuality in their GSAs and diversity assemblies. See Americans for Truth on what really happens to males who practice sodomy:

Acton-Boxborough Regional H.S. Directs Kids to Sacrilegious Filth

If anyone still doubts the anti-Christian character and pure evil of the radical homosexual movement, they need to read the posting, "Queering Christ" [reprinted below] from the filth blog, QueerToday. This blog and its activists are currently in touch with Acton-Boxborough High School students because of "The Laramie Project" production there this week.

Want proof? The MatthewShepard.org web site, where the students are sent by the play, has a teen-friendly site called "Matthew's Place," where a "resources" page for Massachusetts goes right to BAGLY (the "Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Youth). BAGLY's former office manager ("Mark" below) is the founder and editor of QueerToday. One of its blogger/commenters ("Trevor" below) is BAGLY's current office manager. BAGLY is in direct partnership with the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the homosexual clubs in our schools (GSAs), including Acton-Boxborough's, and puts on the queer/transgender high school prom at Boston City Hall each year. The director of BAGLY is a "male-to-female transsexual" who lectures children all over the state on the mysteries of "gender identity" and "sex changes." Bear in mind that people working in these "GLBT teen centers" do not undergo criminal record checks, but are all dealing with young teens (with the support of your local schools).

Back to the filth from QueerToday: We posted an excerpt and link to this vile sacrilege a little while back ("The Laramie Project and Hating Jesus", 10-1-07). Maybe it was missed?

Queering Christ [from QueerToday, 10-1-07]

Currently I am enrolled at a pretty Christian School, Andover Newton Theological School, in order to move forward with my ordination as a Unitarian Universalist minister. While I do not consider myself Christian I was raised both as a Christian and as a Unitarian Universalist. I have thus come to appreciate many of the stories within Christianity and have also been deeply hurt by the right wing choosing to use the revolutionary, anarchist, pro-liberation, Jesus against me and others I care about. Currently I am reading a VERY queer book for one of my classes. The book is Queering Christ by Robert E. Goss. So far the book is INCREDIBLE. My intention is to post some of my favorite highlights on queertoday in order for others to enjoy a very different experience of Jesus, one that does not make him the evil hater that so many choose to use him as. Do be aware that some folks may be offended by the sexual content of the passages I share over the next couple of weeks. I am not claiming that Christianity is easily made pro-queer, but so many folks are trying, struggling at times, and I appreciate their efforts. I hope we can all enjoy this queer perspective from a Jesuit priest, regardless of whether or not we are Christian...

"My technique of meditative prayer was to envision Christ with me and experience him as a lover. Scott Haleman, Betty Dodson, and Joe Kramer argue that masturbation can be spiritual and can become a form of transcendental meditation. Masturbation can harness fantasies and sexual energy. When prolonged, it can stimulate and extend pleasure. When fantasies are focused into making love with Christ, the experience opens itself to a fundamental and profound consciousness of God. My visualizations of Jesus were certainly explicit, erotically envisioning various forms of making love to Jesus the Christ. I had sexual intercourse with Jesus. Sometimes he was the top, and sometimes he was the bottom. My relationship with Christ was mutual and deep."

Regarding our latest report on the Roche Bros. Supermarket chain, and its complicity in undermining traditional values in the Acton-Boxborough community through ticket sales for "The Laramie Project" -- we have a few more tidbits to add:

A little bird told us that the Roche family, owners of the supermarkets, are "devout" Catholics. We also heard rumors that the Archdiocese has no problems with "The Laramie Project" and that Acton's parish priest is a supporter of the high school production. (We are trying to confirm these rumors.) Hmm . . . Once again, we wonder when the Catholic Church will get its house in order. And our true conservative Catholic friends will understand that we speak out of total respect for orthodox Catholicism.

We also wonder why Roche Bros. management spoke with at least one MassResistance supporter who called (to complain about their ticket sales) about a particular family in Acton involved in the "Laramie" fiasco, without any knowledge of complicating factors in their lives. This was a hideous violation of privacy, and Roche Bros. management should apologize to that family. They know who we mean.

Why the Focus on Homosexuality?

Another excellent piece by Matt Barber of Concerned Women for America, "Homosexuality: What's all the fuss?" (WorldNetDaily, 11-1-07). He addresses one of the most annoying taunts thrown our way: Aren't you hyperfocused on homosexuality? But most of us fighting this battle never gave homosexuality much thought prior to November 2003. But then, crazy judges in Massachusetts pushed our faces into the poop, forced us to lick and declare it good. Since then, as Barber says, "we find ourselves – back against the ropes – in a fight we did not pick, struggling in a culture war we did not ask for." Excerpt:

... A particularly heavy focus on the sin of homosexuality by "Christians as a whole" is not at all gratuitous. There is such emphasis, not because we intentionally and specifically chose to target this particular sin, but rather, because strident moral relativists demand that, in contrast to the other sins you address, the sin of homosexuality not only be "tolerated," but celebrated. That's what the euphemistic slogan "celebrate diversity" supposes.

Sexual relativists are anything but relative. They are quite affirmative in principle. But the principles they foist demand comprehensive acceptance of homosexual behaviors – by force of law – through federal edicts such as "hate crimes" legislation and the so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

Unlike the sin of homosexuality, the other sins you cite – the sins of adultery, fornication, racism, pride, jealousy, selfish ambition and drunkenness – do not have the benefit of a tremendously powerful and prosperous lobby that is blindly supported by people in positions of political influence, and other leftists in media and elsewhere who have been duped by the crafty and disingenuous rhetoric of "tolerance" and "diversity."

Proponents, practitioners and enablers of homosexual sin demand that we all renounce God's express condemnation of such conduct and embrace this spiritually and physically destructive behavior as virtuous – as a wholly equal, alternative sexual "orientation."
