Hate Central: Southern Poverty Law Center

Is this man a hater?

Mark Potok and his SPLC certainly feel intense, passionate dislike for pro-family and patriot groups.

That's the dictionary definition of hate: "Feel intense or passionate dislike for someone, or have a strong aversion to something."

Therefore, Potok and his SPLC are haters, and is a designated "hate group". (We first so labeled them in March 2008.)
Southern Poverty Law Center HQ: The nightmarish architecture expresses the fascist nature of the lavishly funded organization.

So now we find out that the Southern Poverty Law Center, the leftist front group that has called so many good Americans "haters",

authored the infamous Dept. of Homeland Security report last year (“Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”). The SPLC is addicted to name-calling. (Marginalize your opponents.) They've just published a new "patriot hit list." Chuck Baldwin writes:

The SPLC is one of the most ultra-liberal organizations in the country and should be dismissed as a group of paranoid leftists, not worthy of thought or mention.

The sad truth is, however, our federal government has chosen to exalt the SPLC to the position of being its "go to" source for information regarding "potential domestic terrorists" and similar characterizations. As a result, the information and reports disseminated by SPLC wind up in police reports and bulletins all over the United States. As an example, the SPLC had its fingerprints all over the infamous MIAC report. One could even question whether the SPLC is merely a front organization for Big Brother.

Therefore, it is highly likely that the report negatively profiling 40 American patriots will find its way into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fusion centers and be distributed to police agencies all across the country. So, should the 40 people who find themselves targeted by SPLC expect some kind of government/police attention? Are we really that close to Nazi-style persecution in America? If the SPLC has its way, the answer seems to be a definite yes.

I remind readers that in the book, Nazi Justiz: Law of the Holocaust (page 3), there were five steps to Hitler's plans for the destruction of European Jews. Step 1: Identification/registration of the targeted group as a public menace. Step 2: Ostracism of the targeted persons. Step 3: property confiscation. Step 4: Concentration of members into geographical locations. Step 5: Annihilation. In this latest report, SPLC seems quite willing to accomplish steps 1 and 2.

Columnist Devvy Kidd, who appears on the SPLC's new "patriot hit list" (along with Chuck Baldwin, Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Glenn Beck and many others), has a great expose': "Southern Poverty Law Center: Liars Ca$hing In" -- including the SPLC's apparent complicity in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Southern Poverty Law Center a Hate Group

What a great strategy. Set up a phony organization that collects millions of dollars by labeling any effective voices dissenting from the far-left agenda as a "hate group". Lump the legitimate conservative organizations  in with true hate groups (neo-Nazis, Fred Phelps -- assuming they're even "real" and not SPLC or Anti-Defamation League creations). Voila`: another bludgeon to hit us with.

That's all the Southern Poverty Law Center is. An empty shell filled with useful idiots, giving ammo to those who wish to bring this country down. The Left has used this smear tactic against us.

Their latest target is Lou Dobbs at CNN, whose sins are opposing illegal immigration and suggesting that Obama's birth status should be looked into... And now, Dobbs's very life is being threatened. WorldNetDaily reports today:

CNN's Lou Dobbs: Shot fired into my home
'We'd had threatening phone calls ... it's now become a way of life'
Opponents of Dobbs include the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti Defamation League, the National Council of La Raza, Internet media watchdog Media Matters and Fox News host Geraldo Rivera.

SPLC has called on CNN to fire Dobbs. We say that SPLC is inciting hate crimes, and should be taken to court.

For more background, see MassResistance's post from March 2009. Excerpt:

It's a common theme of the left, going back to the Saul Alinsky tactics in the 1930s, to demonize your enemies if they become effective. This was adopted by the homosexual movement. In their classic manifesto After the Ball, Marshall Kirk & Hunter Masden advised activists to compare people with traditional values to the Ku Klux Klan (which lynched blacks).
For the second year in a row, the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center(SPLC) has declared MassResistance, along with other pro-family / Christian / traditional values groups around the country, as "hate groups". In most cases, the "crime" is publicly disagreeing with the homosexual agenda. There are no specific reasons given, besides a general label.
Other groups include the Illinois Family Institute (IFI), Traditional Values Coalition (TVC), Scott Lively's Abiding Truth Ministries, the Family Research Institute, and the Chalcedon Foundation. Along with MassResistance, SPLC's reason for declaring them hate groups is that they're "Anti-Gay".
(Actually, SPLC is angry because they're effective. MassResistance, IFI, Traditional Values Coalition, and the Chalcedon Foundation expose the homosexual agenda to a national audience. Family Research Institute does studies on the dangers of homosexual behavior. SPLC particularly despises Scott Lively's book, The Pink Swastika, which documents homosexuality in Nazi Germany.)
A number of other Christian ministries are listed, labeled as "General Hate". Several Catholic groups are labeled "Radical Traditionalist Catholic" and thus declared hate groups.
SPLC is also big in promoting and defending illegal immigration. Thus, illegal immigrant watchdog groups around the country are listed, labeled as "Anti-Immigrant." One of those is Concerned Citizens and Friends of Illegal Immigration Law Enforcement (CCFILE) located in Framingham. It's run by Jim and Joe Rizoli. We know them. They're decent guys, and it's a legitimate community group -- which liberals happen to dislike. For SPLC to do this is the worst type of slander.
Young Americans for Freedom at Michigan State University is listed under "General Hate", apparently because they hosted Rep.Tom Tancredo for a speech on illegal immigration. But as reported on The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes, it was the fascist left that disrupted the event and assaulted participants. But none of the attacking groups apparently qualifies as a "hate group"....

What constitutes a "hate group"?  We couldn't find it on the SPLC website. But in the MetroWest Daily News article referenced above, the SPLC spokesman told the reporter:
[A] hate group is one that "in its platforms or statements says that a whole other group of people is less by virtue . . . These are people who attack other groups of people based on their group characteristics."
But that's a rather exotic definition of "hate", certainly not found in any dictionary. This absurd use of the word "hate" makes the word essentially meaningless.
Suppose Republicans say that Democrats are "less by virtue" because of their liberal characteristics.  Or smoking advocates who demean smokers. Or alcohol safety groups that demean drunk drivers. Does that make them "hate" groups? Don't people have the right to demean others who do bad or destructive things?...

Southern Poverty Law Center Identified as "HATE GROUP"

MassResistance blog has identified the communist Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a "HATE GROUP" (along with Bay Windows, QueerToday, MassEquality, BAGLY, the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, GLSEN, PFLAG, Human Rights Campaign, etc. -- the list is endless...), following SPLC's libel of MassResistance and other pro-family groups, including the Traditional Values Coalition.

Recently, the SPLC listed MassResistance as a "hate group" -- though we fail to meet their own definition of an organization "that [goes] beyond mere disagreement with homosexuality by subjecting gays and lesbians to campaigns of personal vilification.”

Hmm ... all we've ever done is to report what the GLBT individuals themselves said or did publicly. Is it personal vilification on our part if the Boston Herald reports on the arrest of a major gay lobbyist for solicitation of college students, and we note that report? No -- that's news about a public figure. To comment that the leader of the Mass. transgender political organization has had her breasts removed is “personal vilification”? No, that’s just describing part of what transsexuality is all about.

The claims by SPLC are absurd on their face. MassResistance is led by an Orthodox Jew, yet the HUGE majority of “hate crimes” they report in Massachusetts between 2003-2007 are against Jews! Second are crimes based on race, then ethnic group, then religion, then “sexual orientation”.

“Hate Crimes” in Mass., 2003-2007, as reported by Southern Poverty Law Center
Anti-Semitic: 76
Racist: 32
Ethnic: 13
Religion: 5+
“Sexual Orientation”: 5
[NOTES: Numbers approximate, due to overlap for instance with KKK referring to blacks, Jews, and religion. The overwhelming majority were non-violent slurs delivered verbally, or through graffiti and pamphleting.]

So according to SPLC, MassResistance, led by a Jew, is fanning the flames of anti-Semitism in Massachusetts? And another MassResistance leader, who has an interracial family, is fanning the flames of racism in Massachusetts? Or are they somehow responsible for a ruffian yelling insults at a homosexual individual because they oppose the normalization of sodomy, and homosexual "marriage"?
