Jennings "Sought Out" by Porn Publisher Alyson Publications

Kevin Jennings surely must have known that the publisher of his first three books, Alyson Publications, published pro-pedophilia and pornographic works. He said he was "sought out" by Alyson. In the Acknowledgements of his first book, Becoming Visible (1994), he wrote:


Writing this part of the book has caused me more anxiety than any other. It simply is not possible to express my gratitude to the many people who have helped make this book possible ... With apologies to anyone omitted, here we go!


The obvious place to begin is with Alyson Publications. First, Sasha Alyson had the vision to conceive of this project, and I had the good luck to be the person he sought out to complete it. I am deeply appreciative of being afforded this opportunity.

We've pointed out Alyson's promotion of pornography. Americans for Truth (www.AFTAH.org) has exposed Alyson's history of pro-pedophilia publications. From AFTAH's earlier research, first published in the Lambda Report (1993):


Alyson Publications of Boston, which created Daddy’s Roommate, Heather Has Two Mommies, and other pro-homosexual children’s books, also publishes such works as:

• Macho Sluts, a collection of short stories including one in which a lesbian has sadomasochistic sex with her own 13-year-old daughter;
• The Age Taboo, an anthology of arguments for pedophilia; and
• Pedophilia: The Radical Case;  and a range of other books.

“It’s outrageous that the same company that markets books that condition children to accept homosexuality also peddles instructions on how pedophiles can have sex with children without getting caught,” said Lambda Report editor Peter LaBarbera.  “We hope to balance the debate in school districts across the country that are considering these books in their curriculum.”
When questioned by Lambda Report about the pro-pedophile views in his adult books, publisher Sasha Alyson said, “I think it’s something that is a legitimate area for exploration.”  He declined to discuss further his views on pedophilia.


Surely Jennings would have been aware of Alyson's portfolio before he decided to partner with the company.

In his Acknoweldgements, Jennings also thanks his homosexual activist partner at the time, Bob Parlin:


Bob, I simply have no words to say how I feel. "Thanks" will have to suffice.

And he dedicated Becoming Visible to his mother -- and to "Bob, who taught me how to love." 


Bob was at that time, and is now, a teacher at Newton South High School in Massachusetts, and has been a major force pushing homosexuality on the student body there. He had the support of the Principal, Van Seasholes, an early supporter of Jennings' GLSEN (then GLSTN). Newton South was the first public high school that we know of to have a "gay straight alliance" club (GSA).

Acton-Boxborough Regional H.S. Directs Kids to Sacrilegious Filth

If anyone still doubts the anti-Christian character and pure evil of the radical homosexual movement, they need to read the posting, "Queering Christ" [reprinted below] from the filth blog, QueerToday. This blog and its activists are currently in touch with Acton-Boxborough High School students because of "The Laramie Project" production there this week.

Want proof? The MatthewShepard.org web site, where the students are sent by the play, has a teen-friendly site called "Matthew's Place," where a "resources" page for Massachusetts goes right to BAGLY (the "Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Youth). BAGLY's former office manager ("Mark" below) is the founder and editor of QueerToday. One of its blogger/commenters ("Trevor" below) is BAGLY's current office manager. BAGLY is in direct partnership with the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the homosexual clubs in our schools (GSAs), including Acton-Boxborough's, and puts on the queer/transgender high school prom at Boston City Hall each year. The director of BAGLY is a "male-to-female transsexual" who lectures children all over the state on the mysteries of "gender identity" and "sex changes." Bear in mind that people working in these "GLBT teen centers" do not undergo criminal record checks, but are all dealing with young teens (with the support of your local schools).

Queering Christ [from QueerToday, 10-1-07]

Currently I am enrolled at a pretty Christian School, Andover Newton Theological School, in order to move forward with my ordination as a Unitarian Universalist minister. While I do not consider myself Christian I was raised both as a Christian and as a Unitarian Universalist. I have thus come to appreciate many of the stories within Christianity and have also been deeply hurt by the right wing choosing to use the revolutionary, anarchist, pro-liberation, Jesus against me and others I care about. Currently I am reading a VERY queer book for one of my classes. The book is Queering Christ by Robert E. Goss. So far the book is INCREDIBLE. My intention is to post some of my favorite highlights on queertoday in order for others to enjoy a very different experience of Jesus, one that does not make him the evil hater that so many choose to use him as. Do be aware that some folks may be offended by the sexual content of the passages I share over the next couple of weeks. I am not claiming that Christianity is easily made pro-queer, but so many folks are trying, struggling at times, and I appreciate their efforts. I hope we can all enjoy this queer perspective from a Jesuit priest, regardless of whether or not we are Christian...

they sure are... but they think i'm part of the metropolitan community church, but at this point i'm still a unitarian universalist. maybe i'll convert. it is pretty awesome, regardless of your faith, to think of a gorgeous jesus when masturbating. have fun queering christ (i also bet one could queer mary the mother of jesus or mary magdalene or any other gendered person in the hebrew or christian bible, just to make queering christianity fun for everyone) (10-2-07)

I am also reading a radical jesus book for my African American Biblical hermeneutics class called "The Politics of Jesus: Rediscovering the true revolutionary nature of Jesus' teachings and how they have been corrupted. Its very very awesome. I also recommend for a woman's erotic christ, Journeys By Heart: A Christology of Erotic Power by Rita Nakashima Brock...but i have only read some of that. nice post, Jason! Typical Morning Announcements at Mass. High School

"Coming Out Day" is becoming quite the holiday in our schools, while Christmas is banned. On Thursday, October 11, Bedford High School was decorated with rainbow balloons and stickers. The morning announcements included . . .

***National Coming Out Day is celebrated annually on October 11th to commemorate the March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights and aims at promoting awareness of the GLBT community.

***The GSA is having a rubber ducky raffle. The grand prize is an Ipod Nano/Video.

What the Gay-Straight Alliances Talk About

No one really knows what students at the "gay-straight alliance" clubs (GSAs) in our high schools talk about. We're pretty sure the faculty/staff advisors tell the students, "What we talk about here, stays here." But since the topic is sex, and perverted sex at that, we shudder to imagine what goes on. Here's a little insight, from a Catholic news service in California, that we just came across. It refers to the GSA Network News, which currently focuses on California but says it is expanding nationwide. You can be sure the Massachusetts activists are spreading the same sort of information as the California GSA Network:

The Gay Straight Alliance [of California], which has clubs for homosexual and lesbian students on college, high school, and, now middle school campuses, this month promoted a “Pleasure Physiology and Sex Toys” workshop in its internet publication, GSA Network News. The workshop ... “will encourage your personal sexual exploration in this fun, informative workshop ... on pleasure physiology and sexual response, and learn how to choose and use sex toys safely.” The workshop, the News, “is for youth 14 and over” ... [and other] workshops on masturbation, anal sexuality, gay sexuality, porn, and “sex club etiquette” [are given].

Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) in Massachusetts

Which high schools in Massachusetts have GSAs? Our new Massachusetts Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth has informed us they do not have a list of GSAs in the state -- though it's their job to work directly with them. So we'll publish the best list we have, from GLSEN's "Day of Silence" participating schools list (from 2005), updated by input from our activists around the state, plus info from an out-of-date Mass. Dept. of Education web page (still posted on 7-28-07). Interesting that GLSEN (behind the "Day of Silence") has stopped posting its list of participating high schools shortly after we publicized their web page, though they do now say there are 242 GSAs in Massachusetts. We only have 209 schools on this list; so the reality is even worse than it appears here! We now await corrections from the Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth ... and GLSEN. (For lists of GSAs in other states, check out Mission America's list, also compiled from GLSEN's earlier information.)
