Kevin Jennings' GLSEN Passed Out Gay Hook-Up Bar Directories to Teens

Clearly, Kevin Jennings' GLSEN did/does not follow policies that safeguard children. There seems to be a pattern here. 

At GLSEN conferences in Atlanta (1999), Chicago (2000), and Boston (2005), teenage attendees were able to pick up directories to gay "leather" bars (where homosexuals meet for anonymous sex and sadomasochistic "play"). 

In 2005, GLSEN recommended the infamous "Ramrod" bar in Boston in the Little Black Book: Queer in the 21st Century, handed out to teens at their Boston conference.  (The booklet described the Ramrod:  "oldschool speakeasy. Leather, denim. Woof.")

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth told WorldNetDaily that dozens of teenagers were among the 800 attending the 2000 GLSEN conference in Chicago:

Although conference presenters talked about the importance of disseminating only "age-appropriate" material, all participants, including dozens of high school-aged kids, had the opportunity to receive a "Visitor's Companion" that advertised Chicago's homosexual "leather" bars, a sex club and a homosexual bathhouse called "Steamworks," which was advertised as a "24-hour men's gym/sauna."

LaBarbera questioned why GLSEN's organizers -- already bruising over the recent arrest of a Chicago GLSEN leader for soliciting sex with an underage boy (GLSEN expelled the man) -- did not take the "simple step of keeping these gay sex club ads from reaching the teenagers in their care."

"For years, GLSEN has claimed to protect 'at-risk' kids. But they are now helping put young teenage boys at risk by uncritically passing out a gay guide that hawks anonymous sex clubs and 'leather' bars in Chicago," he said. "This fits into a pattern of GLSEN failing to shield its young followers from a homosexual male sexual culture that not only tolerates, but often celebrates promiscuity." (At last year's GLSEN conference in Atlanta, a similar sexually-laden booklet was passed out to attendees.)

Great to see Gateway Pundit and Breitbart posting the truth about Kevin Jennings' GLSEN indoctrination materials.

Michelle Malkin drew attention to GLSEN way back in 1997. Linda Harvey of MissionAmerica exposed GLSEN's readings in 2002. And Brian Camenker of Parents' Rights Coalition (now MassResistance) exposed the Fistgate incident in 2000, and the Little Black Book in 2005. But the time apparently wasn't ripe. Now that GLSEN founder and leader Jennings is Obama's "Safe Schools czar," people are finally starting to pay attention to what he's been pushing in schools across America for 20 years.

GLSEN -- under Jennings' guidance -- didn't just recommend reading materials or lead discussions on fisting. Just one year after GLSEN-Boston's infamous Fistgate conference, they handed out "fisting kits"to young teens at their 2001 conference, held again at Tufts University:

Planned Parenthood, long-time GLSEN ally, brought enough kits for everyone and laid them out on their table for all to take.  Massachusetts News reported, "Out of approximately 650 attendees, about 400 of those were students."

Planned Parenthood of Massachusetts distributed kits for fisting and oral sex. They contained a single plastic glove, a package of K-Y lubricant and instructions on how to make a “dental dam” out of the material.

The instructions explained how to cut up the glove with scissors until all that remains is a rubber rectangle with the “thumb” portion protruding from the middle. “Use the thumb space for your tongue,” say the directions. 

The label on the ziplocked package says, “protects against STD’s,” and bears the Planned Parenthood logo and phone number. 

GLSEN (Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network) got into trouble last year for hosting a workshop that gave young teens explicit how-to instructions on homosexual sex practices such as “fisting.” The ensuing scandal was subsequently dubbed “Fistgate.” 

Regarding “dental dams,” Dr. John Diggs, a specialist in internal medicine who lectures about STDs, said that the kits create a false sense of security. “I’ve written a brochure about this whole thing,” he said. “The way I describe it is, I ask ‘How many people want to take a bite of a sandwich without taking the wrapper off?’ ‘How many people want to suck on balloons?’ Nobody does.” 

Diggs said when you encourage kids to use such a barrier by saying it is “safe,” then when it comes time for them to use it, they find they don’t like it and throw it aside. Because they are already in an aroused condition they continue on and increase the chances of spreading STD’s orally like syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, human hepaloma virus and hepatitis B.

A lone protester showed up that day. A disgruntled Tufts alumna, her sign read:

Shame on TUFTS. 

Marginalizing Christians. 

Promoting dangerous lifestyles.

Gays don't need eHarmony: They have ManHunt.net

How phony for the homosexual community to demand inclusion in eHarmony, the online dating service formerly dedicated to promoting committed relationships between one man and one woman. Homosexuals have plenty of dating resources already, such as ManHunt, MassEquality, GLSEN, PFLAG, Human Rights Campaign, bathhouses, and all the new protest events happening everywhere! Go bash an old lady carrying a cross, and you'll be sure to catch the eye of a kindred spirit.

Back in 2006, we paid close attention to the Boston Pride parade, after we exposed the Macy's window with transgender mannequins promoting that event. (Watch out, eHarmony: Transgenders will demand their section next! After all, 13 or so states already have "gender identity" protected in their laws, and the radicals are working on that here in Mass.)

Our report became a big story in itself, so much so that the float of a "gay" dating service -- ManHunt.net -- was a take-off on the tranny mannequin theme.

Curious but innocent as we were, we then looked up the company behind that float: ManHunt.net. That was an eye-opener, and we believe it catches the essence of what gays are really looking for in an online "dating service".

GLBT Leader Admits HIV/AIDS a "Gay" Disease

Top “Gay” Organization Comes Clean: “HIV is a gay disease.”

Washington, D.C. — In a public statement last Friday, Matt Foreman, outgoing Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, rattled the homosexual activist community by joining the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), pro-family organizations and a growing number of homosexual activists willing to admit that homosexual behavior is both extremely high-risk and primarily responsible for the spread of HIV/AIDS in the U.S.

Addressing the topic of AIDS, Foreman drastically deviated from the “gay” lobby’s party line by admitting, “Internally, when these numbers come out, the ‘established’ gay community seems to have a collective shrug as if this isn’t our problem. Folks, with 70 percent of the people in this country living with HIV being gay or bi, we cannot deny that HIV is a gay disease. We have to own that and face up to that.”

A little over a year ago, Lorri Jean, CEO of the Los Angeles-based Gay and Lesbian Center, similarly shocked the “gay” community by stating that, “HIV is a Gay Disease. Own it. End it.”

Foreman’s admission comes on the heels of a letter from Matt Barber, Concerned Women for America’s (CWA) Policy Director for Cultural Issues, inviting Foreman and other homosexual activists to work together in discouraging homosexuals from engaging in the high-risk behaviors researchers recently determined are responsible for the epidemic spread of a potentially deadly strain of staph infection [MRSA] among certain segments of the “gay” community. Washington, D.C. — Because Concerned Women for America (CWA) cares deeply for the health and well being of all Americans, CWA is sending letters inviting the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, GLAAD and Lambda Legal to put aside profound ideological differences with CWA — for the sake of the lives and health of their members — and to call for commonsense steps to help curb the spread of a potentially deadly strain of Staph infection.
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA bacteria, is infecting men who have sex with men in major cities at an alarming rate. A study conducted by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, found that “gay” men are 13 times more likely to contract the infection....
Matt Barber, CWA’s Policy Director for Cultural Issues, said, “We now have a wonderful opportunity for ideological opponents to come together for the common good. Steps must be taken to keep this MRSA outbreak, which is occurring within certain segments of the homosexual community, from becoming a more widespread epidemic.

“In light of this behaviorally related MRSA outbreak,” said Barber, “we additionally ask HRC and other groups to call on local health agencies to shut down the many bathhouses and sex clubs around the country where men meet for anonymous sex with other men, often multiple partners, on a daily basis. These places create the ‘perfect storm’ for infectious disease, including MRSA...."

"Gay" Fenway Health Clinic Downplaying New Staph Outbreak

The CEO of Fenway Community Health in Boston (a GLBT clinic), Dr. Stephen Boswell (below), is trying to downplay the news of the new, virulent strain of staph infections proliferating in the homosexual community. But he is concerned that there is no "safe-sex" advice applicable to this new bacteria, which can be spread by casual contact.

That fact concerned one of the authors of the original report: "We are nowhere near the peak," Diep [head researcher at S.F. General Hospital] said. "The peak greatly will occur when it spreads into the general population."

InNews Weekly reported on Jan. 17, "Study finds increasing number of drug-resistant skin bacteria in Boston's gay community," with the qualifying headline, "FENWAY COMMUNITY HEALTH SAYS NEWS OF PROLIFERATING 'FLESH EATING DISEASE' IS INFLATED."

No mention that "men who have sex with men" show a 13 times higher likelihood of contracting the disease than others ... just that it "appears to be more commonly transmitted" in this group. From InNews Weekly:

A multi-drug-resistant strain of the S. aureus bacteria - or a relatively new strain of an old staph infection - isolated in Boston and San Francisco, and its causal bacteria, which most commonly presents as a large boil, appears to be more commonly transmitted sexually among men who have sex with men than others, reports the Annals of Internal Medicine.

However, reports that the bacteria - although life threatening if not treated - is a "flesh eater" and spreads rapidly, have been inflated, said Dr. Stephen Boswell of Fenway Community Health.
"The truth is, we are only seeing one or two cases a week, but that is an increase [over past years]," said Boswell this week in an interview. He added that a story in last Monday's The New York Times ("New Bacteria Strain Is Striking Gay Men") was "a bit dramatic." ...

"What we are seeing is an old bacterium that has become resistant to a number of antibiotics, and that could be because we use a lot of antibiotics. After a while, bacteria in your body becomes used

to the treatments and they no longer work," said Boswell, who wouldn't say whether gay men are more susceptible to antibiotic failure as a result of being treated for a constellation of STDs more frequently than other populations. "Infectious diseases tend to affect certain groups of people, and we're not exactly sure why this one is affecting predominantly gay men. It is being seen in other groups as well, just more frequently in gay men." ...

But, says Boswell, if it is transmitted from skin to skin, it's difficult to offer any safe-sex advice....

Boston "Gay" Community Seeing New Deadly Staph Infections

Boston is one of the cities seeing the spread of a dangerous new staph bacteria in the homosexual community. Reported in the San Francisco Chronicle on Monday:

S.F. gay community an epicenter for new strain of virulent staph (1-15-08):

SAN FRANCISCO -- A new variety of staph bacteria, highly resistant to antibiotics and possibly transmitted by sexual contact, is spreading among gay men in San Francisco, Boston, New York and Los Angeles, researchers reported Monday. The study released online by the journal Annals of Internal Medicine found the highest concentrations of infection by the drug-resistant bug in and around San Francisco's Castro district and among patients who visit health clinics that treat HIV infections in gay men in San Francisco and Boston....
"We are nowhere near the peak," Diep [head researcher at S.F. General Hospital] said. "The peak will occur when it spreads into the general population."
Diep said there is reason to believe that the more drug-resistant strain will make that leap because it is just a slight variant of USA300, which became one of the most common strains of MRSA in the United States only a few years after it was first detected.
The latest study focuses on the spread of the more drug-resistant strain in San Francisco and Boston, but reports of the bug are turning up in New York and Los Angeles....

What a mystery … How could it be that so many infections are occurring in the “buttocks and genitalia” of San Francisco men (who have sex with other men)? …

[1-18-08 addendum] And Barber cites the study itself:
The study determined that the spread of MRSA, “among men who have sex with men is associated with high-risk behaviors, including use of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs, sex with multiple partners, participation in a group sex party, use of the internet for sexual contacts, skin-abrading sex, and history of sexually transmitted infections.” --- That’s a direct quote...

Mitt Romney Favors Overturning Laws against Sodomy

In January 2002, early in his run for Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney told the extremist homosexual publication Bay Windows that he favored overturning laws criminalizing sodomy. (That Romney would even grant an interview to this publication is telling.) Romney's position on sodomy laws, an issue of morality as well as public health, is clearly not conservative.

Romney answered a questionnaire from Bay Windows, so this was not an off-the-cuff answer:

Bay Windows asked: “What is your position on each of the following issues? … Repeal of sodomy laws -- ”
Romney answered: “I don’t think government should interfere in the private lives of consenting adults.”

Does Romney consider sodomy laws to concern just what goes on in private? Does Romney also believe that the state has no interest in outlawing other “private” sexual behaviors such as prostitution, incest, bigamy, or polygamy -- if they are between “consenting adults”?

When the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the Texas law that criminalized sodomy in Lawrence v. Texas, Justice Antonin Scalia recognized in his dissent the far-reaching impact that ruling would have: “Scalia … averred that, State laws against bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality, and obscenity are likewise sustainable only in light of [previous ruling] Bowers' validation of laws based on moral choices…. The Court has not ruled on statutes prohibiting adult incest, polygamy, adultery, prostitution, and other forms of sexual intimacy between consenting adults. Lawrence may have created a slippery slope for these laws to eventually fall.” (Wikipedia)

Scalia was right. Just months later, the Goodridge ruling in Massachusetts (which said that it was unconstitutional to ban homosexual “marriage”) cited the Lawrence sodomy ruling as precedent.

Not only is decriminalizing sodomy serious as a legal precedent, it also has public health ramifications Romney apparently wishes to ignore. It is established fact that the high-risk behavior of anal intercourse (sodomy) plays a huge role in the spread of AIDS and other sexually-transmitted diseases.

In Massachusetts, sodomy is still on the books as a "crime against nature":
Ch 272, Section 34: Crime against nature. Whoever commits the abominable and detestable crime against nature, either with mankind or with a beast, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than twenty years.

Dana-Farber Cancer Inst. Sponsors "Gay" Halloween

The clinic's Office of Diversity sent out an email encouraging people to attend. It's odd enough when corporations sponsor sodomy, but even odder when a medical facility does so.

You can read the usual PR gobbledygook on Dana-Farber's diversity training, but you'd still have no idea that they think anal intercourse and leather/BDSM make for a "fantastic party."

United Way and Mass. DPH Fund "Transwomen" Handing Out Condoms & Lube

United Way has posted a notice for volunteers to pass out condoms and anal lube in cruising spots, including "public sex areas" and bars. Bear in mind that the program PUMP (part of "Cambridge Cares About AIDS" or CCAA) receives funding from the state as well as United Way. The "trans men" sought would be women posing as men; the "transgender women" would be men posing as women. (We think; but in this evolving world of perversion, who knows for sure?) Yet the United Way refuses to support the Boy Scouts!

We first posted on PUMP over a year ago, when we discovered they have an outreach at Youth Pride. That could explain the numerous older men in drag we observed circulating among the teenagers at the Boston Common event last May. PUMP's web site declares:

We wrote about PUMP's parent organization CCAA then: Needless to say, we believe HIV/AIDS sufferers should receive compassionate care, help with housing, etc. And we admire those who are able to help in this way. What we don't understand is why such programs as CCAA and Fenway -- and the state Dept. of Public Health -- play along with and encourage men in the deadly "gay" lifestyle. Even CCAA's anonymous HIV testing program tells clients they may not be ready for the trauma of an AIDS test, so it's OK to put it off. [The latter reference, to postponement if not ready, has since been removed.]

We also linked to a story about CCAA's "Transcend" Pride event, established to include the under 21 trans population, with sponsorship of the Dept. of Public Health. Our new Commissioner of Public Health is a homosexual activist who told children at Youth Pride this May that he'd be sure they would receive HIV/AIDS testing they needed! That's what "public health" has come to.

Why doesn't law enforcement do something about shutting down these public anonymous sex encounter locations, in the cause of public health? We know the answer: cries of homophobia from homosexual activists. After all, anonymous sex and risky situations are part of their "culture", necessary to their sexual "identitites" and "gender expression". It would be a violation of their "human rights" if the state put any restrictions on their behavior. So the authorities have agreed to the activists' demands not to disturb their cruising grounds in The Fens (Boston)and Fellsway Park (Somerville), and in the bars.

CCA provides accessible prevention, education, advocacy, and support services in accordance with harm reduction principles to help people meet self-identified goals."

Maryland Schools to Promote Anal Sex

The public health consequences of state-sanctioned sodomy-based "marriages" will be profound, compounding the decades of denial regarding HIV/AIDS transmission (dictated by radical homosexual activists). We already see the effect in our Massachusetts public schools, which now claim they must teach that anal sex is the equivalent of natural and healthy heterosexual intercourse -- because "gay marriage is legal."

Where were the physicians in the great non-debate on homosexual "marriage" in our State House? In the subsequent push to force homosexual sex on our schoolchildren, for example through Rep. Alice Wolf's "comprehensive health education" bill, a prominent public health physician stepped forward to point out that anal intercourse was five times more likely to result in HIV infection than vaginal intercourse (according to CDC statistics), and should not be presented to children as an acceptable behavior. But would it have made a difference if there had been 250 physicians joining with him? It didn't in Maryland! It seems most of our legislators are brain dead, and can't even absorb the most obvious facts any more.

Even in states without the fantasy of "legal" homosexual "marriage", the education establishments are out of control. ROCKVILLE , Maryland – In its ruling last week regarding a controversial sexuality curriculum in Montgomery County , the Maryland State Board of Education (MBOE) has implicitly authorized local school boards to promote “sexual diversity” to students and teach about anal sex while excluding warnings of the medical dangers pertaining to such practices.

Both the MBOE and Montgomery County School Board rejected a petition from 270 local medical doctors to include warning about anal sex critical to student safety as issued by the Office of the Surgeon General and National Institutes of Health.

The MBOE has also ruled that Maryland schools may teach questioning and confused students that homosexuality is “innate,” a controversial and unproven theory advanced by gay advocacy groups serving on the Montgomery County School Board’s curriculum advisory committee.

“In order to pander to these forces, sound education doctrine will now be turned on its head in Maryland ,” said Regina Griggs, Executive Director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX). “The MBOE has taken the preposterous position that questioning children can now be taught that they are ‘born that way’ until science proves otherwise ‘with a preponderance of evidence.’”

“Millions of dollars and three decades of research have failed to prove that homosexuality is innate or that change is not possible,” said Griggs. “After our expert testimony and briefs, it became obvious that science failed to justify the Montgomery County Public Schools’ biased and anti-exgay curriculum. Because they know that what they want to teach is not factual, MBOE instead claims that teaching children to ‘respect differences in sexuality’ of transgenders, transsexuals, homosexuals and cross-dressers is a ‘civic virtue.’ ” The Montgomery County School Board reappointed the curriculum advisory committee members who openly attack ex-gays and discourage equal access by ex-gay supporters.”...

Medical Facts Not "Hate Speech"

Now that the Sodomy Lobby has taken control of the Massachusetts State House, it may be time to review some of the public health concerns homosexual practices entail, before such a discussion is punished as "hate speech". The leftist response to the nomination of Dr. James Holsinger for U.S. Surgeon General is a warning that such intolerance is gaining faster than anyone could have predited.

"The rectum is incapable of mechanical protection against abrasion and severe damage to the colonic mucosa can result if objects that are large, sharp, or pointed are inserted into the rectum." Medical fact, or "hate speech"?

That is from Holsinger's review of medical facts on homosexual health risks, written in 1991 for his church. But this is now considered controversial and hateful by the left. Why? Does anyone disagree that smoking is a health threat? Why is it doubted that rectosigmoid tearing characteristic of anal intercourse, fisting, and other practices (involving insertion of large objects into the anus) is unhealthy? Soon only the "gay" pornography sold in Borders bookstores will be allowed to reference such practices.

Macy's Thinks Being "Gay" Means Holding Hands?

So Macy's has toned it down its "celebration" of Pride Week in its display window in Downtown Crossing. But it's still there: the calendar, and a big pride flag.

Yesterday's Boston Herald reported that the GLBT community is still hurt by "something that was really painful for the community" --namely, by Macy's removal of its transgender mannequins from last year's window -- after our photograph appeared revealing the breasted men. Now the Herald is reporting that these were two "presumably 'gay' " mannequins, saying nothing about the odd breasts that made the window even more disturbing to normal people. More accurately, they were presumably transgendered mannequins. Why is the Herald engaging in this cover-up?

So to make it up to the GLBT community, Macy's is the lead sponsor of the AIDS Action Committee's walk today. And the Herald can report that Macy's has actually "stepped up it support" of Boston Pride. We guess the AIDS Action message they're sponsoring is still: "Go out and do it all. Have fun! Just use a condom -- if you remember; and get tested for HIV/AIDS -- if you're emotionally ready." This is how they plan to "stop the spread of AIDS."

Now if Macy's REALLY wants to stop the spread of AIDS (we thought their business was selling clothes?), maybe their window display should have some mannequins showing how to put on a condom properly, recommending the right lube, and sending a message about asking one's anonymous partner if he has HIV/AIDS before engaging in anal intercourse. Now who could be offended by that message? (No, Macy's, it's not just about hand-holding.)

The chain’s increased backing of the annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gendered celebration follows what was considered a public relations debacle last year, when Macy’s bowed to an anti-gay group and removed presumably “gay” mannequins [or were they presumably transgendered?] from its Boston Pride window display at its Boston store. The CEO of Macy’s East later apologized for the move, blaming an “internal breakdown in communication.” This year, Macy’s allowed a Boston Pride Committee member to design the window display, which went up Thursday and depicts a silhouette of two men holding hands [so innocent and sweet] against a rainbow flag backdrop, a calendar of the week’s events and the words: “Macy’s celebrates Boston Pride 2007. Pride, united for equality.” ...

Sodomy Advocate to Lead Blue Cross of Mass.

This is too much: State Senator Jarrett Barrios set to become head of Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of Massachusetts? A man who celebrates sodomy as a basis for "marriage"?! Add this atrocity to the naming of John Auerbach, ditto, as head of our Department of Public Health. These are guys who (pretend to) think the way to stop AIDS is to hand out condoms and lube as men enter the Fens for anonymous sexual encounters. Men "married" to men. Massachusetts truly is a perverted place. Watch for grants to such groups as Fenway Community Health Center to increase.

Boston Globe: "Barrios to quit state Senate; Will become head of health foundation" (5-23-07).

The Globe reports that Barrios is "father" to two boys. His "spouse" (note: the Globe avoids saying "husband" knowing that's just too much for most of their readers) is Doug Hattaway, Democrat political consultant. Isn't Barrios the same guy who recently stuck his tongue out at a political opponent at the State House -- not in jest, but with deep ill will?

Homosexuality and Mental Illness: 2001 Dutch Study

After observing the behaviors of some of the adult GLBT activists for a few years now, and especially after this past weekend's Youth Pride, we were motivated to do a search on the link between homosexuality and mental illness. Defend the Family has just posted a summary of a 2001 Dutch study on the link between homosexuality and mental illness. Before looking at the surprising figures, note this:

As summarized by the researchers, “[t]he findings support the assumption that people with same-sex behavior are at greater risk for psychiatric disorders.” Lest the reader assume that the mental health problems identified here result from general societal disapproval and/or stigmatization of homosexual behavior, it must be noted the country from whose population the participants were drawn, the Netherlands, is generally considered the most tolerant and homosexual-affirming in the world.

Here are a few of the findings:

Compared to heterosexual men, males who engage in homosexual behavior are:
• 727 percent more likely to have suffered bipolar disorders at some point in their lives, and 502 percent more likely in the last twelve months.
• 718 percent more likely to have suffered obsessive-compulsive disorder in the last twelve months, and 620 percent more likely at some point in their lives. ...
• 311 percent more likely to have suffered mood disorders at some point in their lives, and 293 percent more likely in the last twelve months. ...

Compared to heterosexual women, females who engage in homosexual behavior are:
• 405 percent more likely to have suffered a substance use disorder.
• 241 percent more likely to have suffered mood disorders during their lifetimes.
• 209 percent more likely to have suffered two or more mental disorders during their lifetimes.

I’ll let you and the readers decide this one. According to a 2004 ABC News: "Primetime Live" Poll: American Sex Survey, straight men report a median of 8 sexual partners in their lifetime. The median is the midpoint between the highest and lowest reports. It’s a more reliable measure than the average because it’s less skewed by extremes. While I wasn’t able to find any similar studies for gay men, anecdotally, I know some gay men have 8 sexual partners over a weekend in Palm Springs, Fire Island or Provincetown - heck, even right here in Chelsea!

Whatever the numbers are, be careful not to judge and categorize yourself, or any one else, as either a "saint" or a "sinner" (I bet you were raised Catholic). Many of us grew up with damaging, shameful religious views about sex. We have to free ourselves from such negative and limiting ideology. Things aren’t so black and white. I mean who defines what’s "promiscuous" and what’s "virtuous?" A colleague of mine once joked "’promiscuous’ only applies to someone that’s having more sex than you."

Having sex is a healthy part of being human. As long as you: know your HIV status and your partner’s, get tested for HIV antibodies every 3-6 months, protect yourself and your partner by having safe sex every time; And as long as you’re NOT: avoiding your intimacy fears, a sex addict, perpetrator or cheating - I don’t think it matters whether you sleep with 8, 80 or 800 people in your lifetime.
