Except for being a "Republican", Tisei is the unlikeliest person to be featured by Tea Partiers. He was a co-sponsor of the Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill, has a 100% pro-abortion rating, and has a disturbing record as a state senator opposing tax cuts.
The MassResistance blog began in early 2005 with a Massachusetts focus on judicial tyranny, same-sex "marriage", and LGBT activism in our schools. We broadened our focus to national-level threats to our Judeo-Christian heritage, the Culture of Life, and free speech. In 2006, Article 8 Alliance adopted the name "MassResistance" for its organization. CAUTION: R-rated subject matter.

Gays don't need eHarmony: They have ManHunt.net
Back in 2006, we paid close attention to the Boston Pride parade, after we exposed the Macy's window with transgender mannequins promoting that event. (Watch out, eHarmony: Transgenders will demand their section next! After all, 13 or so states already have "gender identity" protected in their laws, and the radicals are working on that here in Mass.)
Our report became a big story in itself, so much so that the float of a "gay" dating service -- ManHunt.net -- was a take-off on the tranny mannequin theme.
Does eHarmony really know what it's getting into? What does "man seeking man" really mean? Check out the photos on ManHunt for the answer. Here are some phrases we picked up from the web site tour:
If he's out there, he's on here. Get on, get off.
What are you looking for? college boys - Latin papis - black guys - bi-curious - hairy daddies - young and hung - thugs - boys next door - total tops - hungry bottoms ...
Search options: ...
Position...
When he wants it...
How he likes it...
Where it happens...
Will eHarmony have to include these specifics for their "gay" clients? And if they don't, will they be charged with discrimination again?

More Episcopalian Bishops in Homosexual Relationships
US Episcopal Leader: There Are More Gay Partnered Bishops, but They're Secretive, LifeSiteNews.com (1-4-08)
The head of the Episcopal Church in the United States, Bishop Jefferts Schori, shocked listeners of a BBC Interview when she announced that Gene Robinson - the controversial Episcopalian bishop who was consecrated bishop despite his being an openly practicing homosexual - is not the only homosexual and partnered bishop in the Anglican Church.
"[Robinson] is certainly not alone in being a gay bishop," Schori said in response to a question from her interviewer. "He is certainly not alone in being a gay partnered bishop. He is alone in being the only gay partnered bishop who's open about that status." ...

"Romney for President" Ads on Gay.com
"Romney for President" Ads Appear on Gay.com
by Bryan Ochalla

Thursday Nov 8, 2007
Being the presidential hopeful with the heaviest Web advertising presence can be a difficult position to be in-sometimes it means your campaign ads will show up in unexpected places. Republican candidate Mitt Romney is finding that out the hard way, according to a recent article in the New York Times.
Apparently, banner ads saying "Mitt Romney for President-Vote Team Mitt!" appeared on Gay.com for two days this past August-appearing at least 32,000 times. Romney’s aides claimed to not know about the ads when contacted by the newspaper, which received its information from the Nielsen Online AdRelevance monitoring service. The same report indicated thousands of "Romney for President" ads also have appeared on FanFiction.net, a site used by those who like to write stories about their favorite fictional characters (some of which involve X-rated situations between the likes of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger).
Romney’s aides told the New York Times campaign ads are not supposed to appear dating or "alternative lifestyle" sites, nor should they be appear on sites with pornographic images, gambling or left-leaning political content.

Pagan Pseudo-Christian Churches Celebrate Homosexuality
InNews Weekly also breathlessly reported on the MCC's new "Justice School Sunday" program for children, to be run by a young 20-something "queer libertarian." He said that the "Boston Alliance for GLBT Youth (BAGLY) holds its Wednesday meetings in our [MCC] space; we welcomed the first Boston Transgender Pride celebration in 2006; and we have a long history of ministers supporting GLBT rights."
[9-13-07] MCC Boston has also worked to address issues that specifically impact the community.“MCC has been focusing a lot on crystal meth addiction, which is very much part of the gay community right now, and other denominations aren’t going to focus on those issues,” said Cooper. While MCC Boston had about 120 members at its peak, over the years the congregation has shrunk down to about 35. Cooper said the AIDS crisis took a major toll on the church, claiming the lives not only of many of its members but of several of its clergy and lay leaders.

Mitt Romney & Senator Craig: What's the Problem?
We don't understand why Romney asked Senator Craig to step down as the head of his Senatorial campaign committee. Romney has said over and over that we must respect all people, no matter what choices they make in their lives. In June 2005, he called for a “high degree of respect and tolerance for people whose lifestyle and choices and orientation is as they may choose.”
In his Boise news conference, Senator Craig said: "I did nothing wrong at the Minneapolis airport." We ask Mitt Romney: Was Craig's typical homosexual behavior at that bathroom OK, or wrong? If you asked him to step down from your campaign, you must think it's wrong.
But the homosexual "lifestyle" very commonly includes anonymous sexual encounters in public bathrooms. So, what's the problem with Sen. Craig's behavior, Mitt? We thought you advised us to respect all lifestyles and choices? Why aren't you respecting Senator Craig's lifestyle and choices? Craig was accused as far back as 1982 of such behavior, in the Congressional page sex & drugs scandal. See YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RntWGPEjoo Were you unaware of this, Mitt?
More questions for candidate Romney: Is homosexuality wrong? Is it morally wrong? Are there public health and decency considerations accompanying the homosexual "lifestyle" choice? Is there a middle ground on this issue?
Who's guilty of hypocrisy here: Senator Craig, or Mitt Romney?

United Way and Mass. DPH Fund "Transwomen" Handing Out Condoms & Lube
Peer Educators Wanted
(Last updated on July 6, 2007)
http://www.volunteersolutions.org/united-way-of-tri-county/org/opp/233230.html
The PUMP (Peers Using More Prevention) Program is currently seeking gay/bi/trans men and transgender women to conduct peer education and outreach to men who have sex with men and transgender women in the Cambridge/Boston area (bars, clubs, online websites, public sex areas, and on the street). Outreach activities include distributing condoms, engaging priority populations in conversations about HIV/AIDS, providing harm reduction peer-to-peer counseling, and referrals to outside services.Volunteers must be at least 21 years old.
This opportunity is sponsored by: Cambridge Cares About AIDS. We need volunteers who are free at these times: Evenings, Weekly, Weekends. This volunteer opportunity is available to the following types of volunteers Adults (26-54) Young Adults (18-25) Contact Person: Carol L, Human Resources Address: 17 Sellers Street, Cambridge, MA 02139 http://www.ccaa.org
We first posted on PUMP over a year ago, when we discovered they have an outreach at Youth Pride. That could explain the numerous older men in drag we observed circulating among the teenagers at the Boston Common event last May. PUMP's web site declares:
PUMP IS PROUD TO COLLABORATE WITH: hookonline.org ["a project by, for, and about men in the sex industry"]; rentboy.com; and manhunt.net.
We wrote about PUMP's parent organization CCAA then: Needless to say, we believe HIV/AIDS sufferers should receive compassionate care, help with housing, etc. And we admire those who are able to help in this way. What we don't understand is why such programs as CCAA and Fenway -- and the state Dept. of Public Health -- play along with and encourage men in the deadly "gay" lifestyle. Even CCAA's anonymous HIV testing program tells clients they may not be ready for the trauma of an AIDS test, so it's OK to put it off. [The latter reference, to postponement if not ready, has since been removed.]
We also linked to a story about CCAA's "Transcend" Pride event, established to include the under 21 trans population, with sponsorship of the Dept. of Public Health. Our new Commissioner of Public Health is a homosexual activist who told children at Youth Pride this May that he'd be sure they would receive HIV/AIDS testing they needed! That's what "public health" has come to.
Why doesn't law enforcement do something about shutting down these public anonymous sex encounter locations, in the cause of public health? We know the answer: cries of homophobia from homosexual activists. After all, anonymous sex and risky situations are part of their "culture", necessary to their sexual "identitites" and "gender expression". It would be a violation of their "human rights" if the state put any restrictions on their behavior. So the authorities have agreed to the activists' demands not to disturb their cruising grounds in The Fens (Boston)and Fellsway Park (Somerville), and in the bars.

Dr. Satinover Exposes Big Lies
This interview summarizes the Big Lies the homosexual movement is using to bowl over legislators, judges, voters, corporations, schools, parents, and of course children. Big Lies:
- homosexual behavior stems from an inborn "sexual orientation" which does not change;
- homosexuality was legitimately removed from the American Psychiatric Association manual of mental disorders;
- homosexuality is a stable, measurable trait that defines a certain class of people, so they can claim "civil rights" based on that trait
[Excerpt:] Satinover: The mental-health organizations have submitted briefs to courts at every level, and have profoundly corrupted our understanding of human sexuality tacitly via their general influence. They influence judges' understanding before they become judges so that when a man or woman becomes a judge he is, for all purposes, an ignoramus with respect to homosexuality, full to the brim with sentimental platitudes.
These platitudinous outlooks "feel" deep, but are astoundingly shallow (the concept "sexual orientation" is an example-it is a "stopthought" that won't bear five minutes of serious scrutiny before dissolving into a welter of contradiction). But when a judge is handed an amicus brief that bears at its end a list of say five or 10 well-respected national or state mental-health professional organizations -- he's impressed. Then he starts reading, and it's "The Emperor's New Robes." In learned-sounding terms, he's fed back all the nice-sounding pieties with which he's become familiar and comfortable. He doesn't have to stop and think for a second. He just has to be "nice."
So, over the years, the concept of "sexual orientation" has worked its way into the culture and up the court system to the level of the U.S. Supreme Court and in certain key state Supreme Court cases, especially in the Goodrich [sic; i.e. Goodridge] case in Massachusetts. The key U.S. Supreme Court cases are Romer and Lawrence. Leaving specific variations aside, all three approach homosexuality from the point of view of civil liberties -- a misframing that goes all the way back to Hooker and the history I've mentioned. It has been critical for the mental-health guilds to stand before the courts and say, "You see, your honors, we in particular, who are the very experts of what constitutes a mental disorder, proclaim that sexual orientation should not be discussed as a condition that is problematic and changeable, it is a normal and immutable state of the human being and therefore should be discussed in civil-rights terms, like race." ... What you're left with are human beings, no different than you or me, who are, of course, sexual beings. Like you and me, their sexuality is broken in a broken world. The notion that "homosexuals" are in effect a "different species" (different genes) is ludicrous beyond belief. There is not the slightest evidence for that as anyone who actually reads the studies (not reports on the studies) knows. Of course as one grows and changes, one "grooves" a pathway that becomes embedded and increasingly difficult to alter. Of course a different innate disposition places one at a different "risk profile" for all sorts of different paths in life. So what else is new? It is also true that people do sometimes want to change, and some do and some don't. This is true of everything. It's also true that few good things in life are easy, and no achievement is ever perfect.
That said, we should remember that homosexuality has risen to the top of the social-policy agenda because of the utter wreck we all have made of family life over the past 50 years. This horror cannot be blamed on anyone but us.

Truth-Telling About the Culture of Death
You can't pussyfoot with the culture of death. You can't allow that destructive force to choose the terms of the debate. How can killing a human baby be a "choice" or a "right"? (Similarly, how can we allow sexual perversion such as sodomy be called a proper basis for state-sanctioned "marriage", or homosexual "marriage" be called a "right"?) And you can't let that mindset infiltrate your forces, and hint that you should moderate your tone, oppose with gentleness and politeness.

Resistance to Federal Hate Crimes Bill

(2) an alert from the Liberty Counsel;
(3) an alert from the transgender crowd (the most radical left).
(1) Here is the video of the recent Hate Crime rally -- calling America to wake up -- that we videotaped in Washington DC this last week. ... PLEASE consider what [hate crimes legislation] is going to do to ALL Christians who preach using God's word to condemn sin. PLEASE pass this on.....

Joe Rizoli
(2) From the Liberty Counsel:
The so-called "hate crimes" legislation took a new formyesterday when Senators Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Gordon Smith (R-Ore.)introduced the controversial amendment to a Defense Reauthorization bill. This move will could push senators to vote on the issue as early as thisweek. Introduced as the Matthew Shepard Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, the Kennedy amendment is one of more than 100 amendments attached to the Defense Reauthorization bill. An ABC 20/20 investigation showed that the Matthew Shepard murder, portrayed by activists as a hate crime because Shepard was homosexual, was in fact a bungled robbery that had nothing to do with Shepard's homosexuality.
Hate crimes laws are actually "thought crimes" laws that violate the right to freedom of speech and of conscience and subject individuals to scrutiny of their beliefs rather than focusing on a person's criminal actions. Hate crimes laws will have a chilling effect on people who have moral or religious objections to homosexual behavior. Evidence of a person's beliefs will be used against any individuals who are even suspected of committing a crime. In a debate on a similar bill that passed the House in May, Rep. Artur Davis, who supported the bill, admitted that under this law a minister could be charged with the crime of incitement if the minister preached that homosexuality is a serious sin and a person in the congregation left church and committed a crime against a homosexual. Liberty Counsel has published alegal memo that explains the dangers of hate crimes legislation.
The White House called this bill "unnecessary" and "constitutionally questionable," pointing out that "State and local criminal laws already provide criminal penalties for the violence addressed by the new Federal crime." President Bush has promised to veto the bill. Mathew Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, commented: "Hate Crimes legislation that includes sexual orientation is bad law because it criminalizes speech and does nothing toprevent violent crimes. All crimes are motivated by hate. Hate Crimes laws will not be used to punish the perpetrator, but will be used to silence people of faith, religious groups, clergy, and those who support traditional moral values."
(3) From the National Center for Transgender Equality and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition:
Today Senators Kennedy (D-MA) and Smith (R-OR) introduced the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 1585), which is being debated in the Senate this week and next. This amendment could be voted on as early as today. In short, today transgender people are one giant step closer to gaining federal hate crimes protections! The language of today's amendment is identical language to that of S. 1105, which the Senators introduced in April.
"[T]he Radical Right is mobilizing their base to oppose the federal hate crimes bill. They're using scare tactics and flat-out lies in hopes of killing Kennedy's amendment. Make sure that your Senators hear your voice and the true importance of this bill. The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act would:
- Extend existing federal protections to include "gender identity, sexual orientation, gender and disability"
- Allow the Justice Department to assist in hate crime investigations at the local level when local law enforcement is unable or unwilling to fully address these crimes
- Mandate that the FBI begin tracking hate crimes based on actual or perceived gender identity
- Remove limitations that narrowly define hate crimes to violence committed while a person is accessing a federally protected activity, such as voting
- Allow the Justice Department to assist in hate crime investigations at the local level when local law enforcement is unable or unwilling to fully address these crimes

Response to Our Memorial Day Message
Well spoken. I don't know how I was placed on your mailing list but I am grateful to whomever is responsible. I believe the sin of sodomy and lesbianism is the height of rebellion against God's established order. This battle is not about homosexual and lesbian rights. That is only the fruit. The root of the problem is the same as it was in Genesis 3 when Satan challenged God's sovereign right as Creator to establish the rules of life for his creatures. Keep the faith, and fight the good fight, in Jesus' Name.
In His service,
Mr. X

Boston Pride's Sex Offender Says His Crimes Just His "Personal Life"
Read Mr. Berggren's resignation letter (below) carefully. Note his attempt to cast his CRIMINAL record as just part of his "personal life". No, Mr. Berggren, what you do in your bedroom -- with teenagers, with pornography involving young people -- is NOT just a private affair. It is exploitation of underage children, and therefore communally recognized as harmful to society. It is therefore PUBLIC business. That's what being convicted of a crime means: a violation of society's standards. Maybe you didn't have a public audience while the activity was going on, but that doesn't mean that activity was just "personal".
Unless one escapes to some little island pederast paradise, one must accept the fact that society recognizes the criminality of certain sex offenses. And once one is convicted of sexual offenses, he has no "privacy" concerning that conviction. Does Mr. Berggren's state of denial tell us he's still not accepting society's standards? Remember that this man also holds a high position at the "gay" newspaper, In NewsWeekly, so is still in a very high-impact public position. The Dig reported: "Berggren, who is officially classified as a Level 2 offender (“moderate” risk of re-offending), doesn’t feel his record is an issue.
Bill Berggren resigns from Pride Committee
by Lissa Harris
Weekly Dig 5/24/2007
Boston Pride fundraising committee chair Bill Berggren resigned voluntarily from his position, in response to an article we ran yesterday that highlighted his criminal history and current status as a registered sex offender. From the Weekly Dig:
Here’s what Berggren had to say:
“I’m a little disappointed. I’ve never hidden anything about my life … I have a lot of support in the community. My phone has been ringing all day long with people telling me not to resign. But I feel at this time it’s the best thing for the community,” he told Bay Windows.
And here’s his resignation letter:
“To: The Board of Directors, Boston Pride Committee
May 23, 2007
Dear Members of the Board:
It is with a heavy heart that I am submitting my resignation as fundraising chair of Boston Pride. The resignation is effective immediately.
My resignation comes in the wake of a malicious attempt to bring my personal life into the public sphere. This has precipitated a hasty judgment from some members of the community, and I anticipate the enemies of Pride will seize this opportunity to attack the organization. In order to protect Boston Pride from unnecessary attacks two weeks before Pride Week, I am quickly stepping aside.
This is not an easy decision, but I feel that the message and spirit of Pride is more important than any one individual. I hope members of the community and the media will accept this matter as closed and continue to enjoy Pride as we all intended it. I also hope and ask for my privacy to be respected during this time.
Sincerely, Bill Berggren”

Boston Pride Board Member Outed as Sex Offender
See the Weekly Dig, "Pride and Prejudice -- Sense and Sensibility? Not So Much" (5-23-07).
Berggren also has a long rap sheet. In 1998, he was convicted on child pornography possession charges, after a search of his Wakefield business by US Customs officials and local police. A story about the conviction in the Wakefield Daily Item reports that in 1991, Berggren also pled guilty to indecent assault against a 19-year-old. In 1985, he was found guilty of showing pornography to six teenagers. He was also found guilty on 10 counts of providing alcohol to a minor. Clearly, this stuff would be volatile information in the hands of someone like Brian Camenker... [ironically, we did have the info, just hadn't gotten it out yet -- but it's out now!] ...
Berggren, who is officially classified as a Level 2 offender (“moderate” risk of re-offending), doesn’t feel his record is an issue. “Everything I am doing is 18-plus events,” he says, tersely. “They know who I am, they know what I’ve done, and they appreciate my work. I have nothing to hide.”
Berggren’s history is clearly no secret in the volunteer circles in which he runs. “He’s not really secretive about it. A lot of people know,” says Keri Aulita, vice president of the Boston Pride board. “Their competitive paper could have broken it a long time ago.”
“It is a concern, but it is a concern everybody is aware of and everybody has addressed,” says Joblin Younger, who serves on the board of directors of the Friends of the Commission on GLBT Youth and is a former member of the Boston Pride Committee. “And it’s very seriously taken into consideration what situations Bill is allowed to be in.”
Boston Pride has contracted with the Human Rights Campaign to run criminal offender record information (CORI) and sex-offender record information (SORI) checks of all volunteers working in family areas. Sex offenders aren’t allowed. But it’s not a perfect system.
In part, the Boston Pride board’s policymaking comes in response to a 2005 incident in San Diego, when a conservative activist [James Hartline, ex-homosexual, now Christian activist, living with AIDS] ran the names of all the Pride volunteers through the sex-offender registry database and came up with a couple of matches. The resulting brouhaha brought a firestorm of unwelcome attention down on the event, and eventually, the Pride Committee acted to bar all people convicted of crimes against youth from volunteering.
Interviews with former and current Pride volunteers made it clear that the organization doesn’t consider Berggren’s sex-offender status an issue. The consensus is that he’s up-front about his history, he’s served his time and he doesn’t need reminding to stay away from the under-18 crowd.
That said: If Boston Pride thinks his position doesn’t reflect badly on Pride, on Boston and on the gay community at large, they’re in serious denial.
Bay Windows also ran this piece: "Bill Berggren resigns from Pride Committee" (4-25-07).
The Dig, quoting a 1998 report published in The Wakefield Daily Item, highlighted Berggren’s past run-ins with the law, including a 1998 conviction for possession of child pornography, a 1991 guilty plea to indecent assault on a 19-year-old and a 1985 conviction for possession of pornographic material with the intent to distribute it to minors. ...
Berggren told Bay Windows that he was “disappointed” by the fallout from the Dig article, but he chose to resign for the good of Boston Pride. He said the Pride Committee knew about his offenses, and he never made any effort to hide them.“I’m a little disappointed. I’ve never hidden anything about my life … I have a lot of support in the community. My phone has been ringing all day long with people telling me not to resign. But I feel at this time it’s the best thing for the community,” said Berggren, who in addition to his fundraising work also served as coordinator for the Boston Pride Idol competition. Berggren is associate publisher of In Newsweekly.
