Proof: Homosexual "Marriage" Still Not Legal in Massachusetts

Still don't get it? Look at these two bills pending in the Massachusetts legislature:

[Filed by the homosexual lobby:]
H977 / S967 (Still in Judiciary Committee) -- Would "officially" legalize homosexual marriage. The homosexual lobby apparently realizes that the SJC decision did not actually change any law. Thus, they want to make it "official" law -- which it ISN'T now!

An Act TO PROTECT MASSACHUSETTS FAMILIES THROUGH EQUAL ACCESS TO CIVIL MARRIAGE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 207 is hereby amended by adding the following new section:

Section 37A. Any person who otherwise meets the eligibility requirements of this chapter may marry any other eligible person regardless of gender.

[Filed by MassResistance:]
H654 (Still in Judiciary Committee) -- Nullification of same-sex "marriages".

An ACT TO CLARIFY THE STATUS OF SAME-SEX MARRIAGES PERFORMED UNDER PUBLIC AUTHORITY IN MASSACHUSETTS SINCE MAY 17, 2004. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

It is hereby declared that all same-sex marriages performed under public authority in Massachusetts since May 17, 2004 are without statutory basis; and no marriage performed in Massachusetts will be considered legally binding which is not established by Massachusetts statute, not withstanding licensing through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, or city or town clerk.
