Sex Change Operations Now Tax Deductible!

GLAD (Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders – the group that brought “gay marriage” to Massachusetts) won a big case against the IRS for “transgender rights”.
Former construction worker Rhiannon O’Donnabhain wanted to write off his “male-to-female” sex-change procedures as necessary medical treatments. But the IRS denied the deduction, declaring the procedures “cosmetic”. Then the U.S. Tax Court bought GLAD’s arguments and overruled the IRS.
“In this landmark ruling, the Tax Court affirmed the consensus position of the medical establishment that transition-related medical care is essential for many transgender people,” explained Jennifer Levi, Director of GLAD’s Transgender Rights Project.

He’s a “woman” now, and gets a tax deduction too.
The US Tax Court ruled yesterday that a Massachusetts woman should be allowed to deduct the costs of her [sic] sex-change operation, a decision that could have wide implications for transgender people.
Rhiannon O’Donnabhain, who was born a man, sued the Internal Revenue Service after the agency rejected a $5,000 deduction for approximately $25,000 in medical expenses associated with the sex-change surgery.
The IRS said the surgery was cosmetic and not medically necessary.
In its decision yesterday, the tax court said the IRS position was “at best a superficial characterization of the circumstances’’ that is “thoroughly rebutted by the medical evidence.’’ …
“I think what the court is saying is that surgery and hormone therapy for transgender people to alleviate the stress associated with gender identity disorder is legitimate medical care,’’ said Jennifer Levi, a GLAD attorney. …

The court got down to details, noting he could not deduct the itemized cost for his “breast augmentation surgery, because it found that she [sic] had achieved breast enhancement through hormone treatments.”
Yikes. So what we see in the photo is a combination of hormone treatments plus breast augmentation surgery. What kind of documentation did the court look at to determine that? They must have studied before and after photos, to weigh hormones vs. surgery? How did they determine what breast size was adequate for his mental health needs?
This will be a huge precedent for health coverage in this country, especially as the government takes more and more control. We’re sure that no Massachusetts insurer would now dare to cross GLAD and deny any and all transgender procedures to patients. If the Transgender Rights bill is passed here in Massachusetts, any discrimination on the basis of “gender identity or expression” will be banned.
So all citizens will be underwriting such procedures through their insurance premiums and through our tax system.
But the transgender advocates are also tying themselves -- and us -- up in illogical knots over the grounds for their appeals. In this IRS case, they apparently won by arguing that transgenderism is a “serious mental disorder” needing treatment – including hormone therapy and “sex-reassignment” surgery.
At the same time, the activists are arguing that transgenderism is a normal variation on the “sexuality spectrum” and are actively fighting to de-classify it as a disorder in the DSM-IV manual. They are using this “normal” argument to push their “Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill” in the Massachusetts legislature. That’s so they can deny that the government will be actively sanctioning and promoting a disorder in protecting “gender identity or expression.”
How will they resolve this contradiction?
By the way, O’Donnabhain is a member of the Mass. Commission on Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Youth. He’s there to help confused teenagers.

Martha Coakley Has Moved to Left on "Transgender Rights"

Is it possible that anyone as radical as Martha Coakley could have moved to the left recently? We have found one example of this...

Men dressed as women lobby for their "rights" at the Mass. State House.
Martha Coakley is now with them!  [Photo: MassResistance.]
A few years back, Coakley didn’t see the need for the “Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill” (H1728, formerly H1722) now pending in the Massachusetts legislature.  (See our detailed study of the bill here.) By 2008, she decided to testify in its favor. Since the national GLBT lobby was then starting a huge push on the transgender issue, she apparently decided she had to join them publicly to continue to get their financial support.
Coakley is a very tough lady, and not easily intimidated by 6’3” guys in skirts sharing the women’s restroom, or “phallic women” sharing their locker room.

From the homosexual news source, Edge Boston (3-7-08):
Marc Solomon, the campaign director for MassEquality, one of the organizations leading the effort to pass H.B. 1722 [now H1728], praised Coakley’s leadership on the issue. "When Martha Coakley stands up for something, she fights for it and we are so proud and gratified to have her fighting for equality for transgender people in Massachusetts. It’s a sea change from where we’ve been in the past. It’s so great to have the attorney general - the lead civil rights spokesperson in Massachusetts - fighting on behalf of our community." …
Coakley’s stance continues her record of commitment to equal treatment for LGBT people under the law. She regularly expressed support for marriage equality on the stump during her 2006 campaign for attorney general, in addition to identifying same-sex domestic violence as an issue to which she as attorney general would be more responsive.
In May 2007, a month before the legislature was to take a decisive vote on an anti-gay marriage amendment, Coakley came out swinging against the measure during a speech to the Mass. Lesbian and Gay Bar Association. … [See Coakley’s entire speech here.]
Despite those strong stances, however, Coakley’s position on adding explicit protections for transgender people to the state’s civil rights laws was less comprehensive until now. Asked about including protections based on gender identity and expression in state law during a 2006 interview with Bay Windows, Coakley supported including such protections in the state’s hate crimes law but stopped short of endorsing the same changes to its anti-discrimination statute, stating that her own understanding of the law’s intent is that gender identity and expression were protected already. (A Massachusetts Superior Court judge has used statutory bans on discrimination based on gender and disability to rule in favor of a transgender woman who had been fired from her job when she began transitioning.)
"If we either had incidents that were unaddressed or a court decision that said it didn’t I would certainly be supportive of strengthening the statute if we needed to," Coakley said at the time. "I do know it’s hard to get statutory changes; it would take a while to do it. So I’m a big believer in unless it’s broken let’s work with it. And maybe we develop case law, we develop whatever it is we need to." [Emphasis added.]

The Fistgate Buck Stops with Kevin Jennings

Fistgate instructor Margot Abels had been with the Massachusetts DOE “Safe Schools” program for seven years by the time she ran the scandalous workshop documented at the GLSEN-Boston conference in 2000. That takes her back to 1993, the year the “safe schools” program began in the DOE. She had run “at least five” workshops similar to Fistgate prior to 2000, possibly going back to 1995 or even before (if she had done one yearly at the GLSEN conference). The Boston Globe reported:
"This is absolutely sanctioned by the department," Margot E. Abels told a reporter as 125 to 150 people* marched nearby in front of department headquarters to protest her firing. [*from the SEIU – see note below.] "It's not like the commissioner clears every word we say, but because we do our work based on research performed by the department, it's understood what we're going in there to do," said Abels, who had been the department's HIV/AIDS coordinator for seven years. "It's standard. There's nothing we did that was a secret. The department has always given us its full support - until now."
Abels, speaking publicly for the first time since being fired May 19 by Education Commissioner David P. Driscoll, said she has led at least five other workshops that were extremely similar to Teach Out 2000, which took place at Tufts University on March 25 - all without protest from her superiors. … (“Protest over a firing,” Raphael Lewis, June 2, 2000; emphasis added.)
It was in 1992 that Kevin Jennings joined radical David LaFontaine at the Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, to “run its education committee” – which set up the “safe schools” programs in the Department of Education. From Jennings’ memoir, Mama’s Boy Preacher’s Son (p. 196):
… in the spring of 1992, [Governor Bill] Weld just decided to appoint one [a Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth] under his own auspices [via Executive Order], and to call it the Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. David [LaFontaine] was asked to chair it. Having heard about GLSTN [now GLSEN], he was calling me to ask me to run its education committee. It became quickly apparent that many commissioners had little or no knowledge of youth, and that the ones who did came mainly from social services and knew little about schools. Basically, I was being handed the school portfolio and asked what the governor should recommend.
Isn’t it safe to assume that the head of the education committee worked directly with his HIV/AIDS “sexuality educator,” Margot Abels, as they designed the queer sex curriculum? Are we to believe that Jennings’ ideas on content and methods would be less radical than the DOE employees’? When Abels said “it’s understood” what she did in her workshops, are we to believe that her superiors at the DOE understood it, but the mastermind of their “Safe Schools” program, Kevin Jennings, did not?
According to Jennings’ “partner”, while he was a teacher at Concord Academy, Jennings was very close to his students. They came to “worship him.” They called him “Kevin”. “He disrespected the entire, like, Mr. Jennings thing that we all had to grow up with. … No stories were ever forbidden when he was there.” That says something about Jennings’ teaching “methods” – doesn’t it?
LaFontaine, Jennings, Abels. Hardly a “grand conspiracy theory.” What we’re talking about is a small group of hugely dedicated radical activists with a lot of time on their hands to make mischief, who worked very closely together to launch the Massachusetts homosexual youth indoctrination and sexualization program.
Jennings continued to be closely connected with the Boston scene even after he moved to New York to start up a national GLSEN office. The GLSEN-Boston chapter was its “mothership”. He was keynote speaker at the Fistgate conference in 2000. Here is Jennings with Wallace Bachman (see Bachman's photo in conference program, p. 2), then Executive Director of GLSEN-Boston, at the Fistgate event:

[Photo: Massachusetts News, May 2000 Special Report, print ed.]
Margot Abels’ position was “HIV/AIDS educator” at the DOE. One of her supervisors–surely known to Jennings -- was Kim Westheimer, variously listed as “School Program Coordinator” and “Director” of the “Safe Schools” programs in the DOE (at least as early as Gov. Cellucci’s administration 1998-2000, and possibly earlier).
According to a letter by Westheimer (written in 2001), Bachman (GLSEN-Boston director) defended Abels and opposed her firing in 2000. Was Bachman out of step with Jennings, his superior as national GLSEN director? Jennings may have made a CYA statement immediately after the Fistgate story broke, but what about in the months thereafter?
There’s only one HIV/AIDS “queer sex ed” menu, Jennings designed it, and Bachman and Abels picked from it.
In her March 2001 letter (written just prior to that year’s GLSEN-Boston conference, “Fistgate II”), DOE “Safe Schools” program official Westheimer stated, “Our challenge as a community is to find ways for explicit education to take place as well.”
The Westheimer language which supports “explicit” sex education belies the DOE’s official distancing from what went on last year at Fistgate. Interestingly, at the particular workshop last year which was tape-recorded by the Parents’ Rights Coalition (PRC) [now MassResistance] and where kids were given explicit homosexual instruction on fisting and other sexual practices, 55 minutes passed before there was any mention of AIDS/HIV.
Westheimer wrote, “When PRC launched their campaign against GLBT youth last year, GLSEN Boston and Wallace Bachman [GLSEN-Boston Executive Director] in particular were among the few organizations or individuals who spoke up publicly against PRC, against DOE firing, and in support of providing AIDS/HIV and sexuality education for GLBT youth. Not many organizations spoke out in support of GLSEN or the DOE employees who conducted the workshop.” [emphasis added]
When Westheimer wrote about this “explicit education” in HIV/AIDS and queer sexuality workshops, what could she have in mind? How many specifically “queer” sex acts are there? Let’s see: anal intercourse, fisting, tribadism, “water sports”, “pig play,” rimming, sex in the bushes, sucking … Did we leave any out? So the repertoire the GLSEN-Abels workshops would bring up is pretty clear.
Remember: The workshop was billed as queer specific. Abels said the whole point was to answer any question the kids might ask about queer sex when uninhibited. This attitude and approach would not have changed since the time Jennings designed the curriculum in 1992-3. In Kevin’s classroom, “no stories were ever forbidden.”
A Boston Globe story maintains that Abels’ Fistgate workshop was sponsored by GLSEN, not the DOE:
The workshop at Tufts, designed to answer explicit sexual questions from teenagers too embarrassed to ask them in school, took place on a Saturday and was sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian Student Education Network, not the education department.
Abels, however, insists that the department knew of and supported her work. The department "shamefully caved in to orchestrated pressure and heinous threats against Ms. Abels at the expense of her constitutional rights," said Betsy Ehrenberg, Abels's attorney. (“Educator fired for sex discussion sues,” Scott S. Greenberger, November 28, 2000.)
But Jennings had a hand in both sponsoring groups, as national executive director of GLSEN, and as designer (and likely ongoing informal consultant, at least) of the DOE’s HIV/AIDS queer sexuality curriculum. Either way, the buck stops with Kevin Jennings.

The Abels workshops would not have changed significantly between 1993 and 2000 (and probably only varied depending on what questions were asked). Abels confirmed this. Queer sex is queer sex. So it’s silly to suggest that Jennings would not have known the general content, topics, and style of the her workshops.
And yes, Media Matters, there is a grand conspiracy. It’s called the homosexual agenda.

Bay Windows, “Protest planned over DOE firing of educators in sex-ed workshop,” Laura Kiritsy, June 1-7, 2000:   Recently fired over the flap about a workshop on gay sexuality, former Department of Education employee Margot Abels is fighting for her job and her labor union [SEIU] has organized a June 1 noon protest at DOE headquarters in Malden to draw attention to what it contends was her unwarranted termination.
Boston Globe, “Arbitrator rules against dismissal of sex educator,” Scott S. Greenberger, August 22, 2001:   The Service Employees International Union challenged Abels's dismissal and took the case to arbitration.

Why Kevin Jennings' GLSEN Got Award at Mass. Youth Pride 2007

"Safe Schools" czar Kevin Jennings founded and ran GLSEN. He was still executive director of that organization when it received special recognition in May 2007 at Massachusetts Youth Pride. GLSEN is behind the GSA clubs (gay/straight alliances) in the schools which funnel kids to this event. This is where GLSEN and Jennings want kids to be. We first posted this in a state of shock after seeing these huge, frightening transgender men mingling with children at that 2007 event.

from MassResistance blog, 5-28-07:

GLSEN &Youth Pride Connecting Teens Directly to World of Promiscuous GLBT Sex ...

Or, Why They Don't Want Us to Take Photos at Youth Pride

"Performer" at Youth Pride, May 12, 2007
Another "Performer" at Youth Pride on May 12: "Becca D'Bus"

Was this 35-year-old man, "Princess Diana" the "performer" at YOUTH PRIDE (see top photo) and BAGLY Prom?

GLSEN Boston was given an award (along with Governor Deval Patrick) at Youth Pride on May 12, sponsored by the Massachusetts Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. What do these groups promote? At Youth Pride, we saw a huge man in a black dress mingling with young teens. We were told by an organizer that he was an official "performer" that day (both for the Youth Pride rally and parade, and the BAGLY queer prom at Boston City Hall later that night). On what we think is his MySpace, a friend posts "Rock out with your c**k out."

Another apparently official "performer" at Youth Pride was the huge trans club entertainer calling himself "Becca D'Bus". See his YouTube video here [“I’m not your f**king baby”]

The GLSEN Boston MySpace (linked prominently on GLSEN's web site) highlights a "drag queen" named "Miss Gay South Shore, Della Prescott"), who says he was also present at Youth Pride. He is doing several fundraisers for GLSEN Boston at disreputable venues: the apparently GLBT Randolph Country Club (no wonder Randolph is advertising in Bay Windows for school administrators), and the new "gay" bar in Taunton, Bobby's Place. (A further link -- how many can we stand??? -- these photos of Bobby's Place were taken by convicted sex offender Bill Berggren of InNewsWeekly and the Boston Pride committee!)

From Della Prescott's "friends" on his MySpace, we found another drag performer, male, 35, from New Bedford, who calls himself "Princess Diana". If we're not mistaken, this is the big fat drag queen "performer" hired by Youth Pride as an "outreach" to teens from across Massachusetts. (Who exactly paid for his services?)

GLSEN Boston also links to Mr. Gay South Shore (which posts pornographic photos), where you read: "Don't f*** with me, fellas. This isn't my first time at the rodeo!" Male - 27 years old - FALL RIVER." This links in turn to such "safe spaces" as "Rock Hard Rocky" (which goes back to Bobby's Place and Della Prescott). GLSEN Boston also links kids directly to one David Goulart, editor of EdgeNewEngland.com, a foul Internet directory of the worst sex clubs and even "circuit parties" (orgy destinations) -- and business partner of Boston's homosexual newspaper, Bay Windows.

THESE ARE THE PEOPLE, WEB SITES AND VENUES that GLSEN Boston and the COMMISSION on GAY and LESBIAN YOUTH are INTENTIONALLY leading teens to. HOW FAR DOES THIS HAVE TO GO BEFORE CITIZENS WAKE UP???

Now what if a group of heterosexual adults connected with the public schools, for example an athletic booster club, were to hold a fundraiser at some strip club in Boston? Or a porn theater? Would that pass public muster? What other group with privileged access in our schools could brazenly lead kids to sex hook-up clubs? What other "sexual orientation" could lead school children to pornographic photos of its desired sex objects? Why does the homosexual lobby get a pass on communicating its X-rated connections directly to children -- including personal, face-to-face introductions at Youth Pride?

Gays don't need eHarmony: They have ManHunt.net

How phony for the homosexual community to demand inclusion in eHarmony, the online dating service formerly dedicated to promoting committed relationships between one man and one woman. Homosexuals have plenty of dating resources already, such as ManHunt, MassEquality, GLSEN, PFLAG, Human Rights Campaign, bathhouses, and all the new protest events happening everywhere! Go bash an old lady carrying a cross, and you'll be sure to catch the eye of a kindred spirit.

Back in 2006, we paid close attention to the Boston Pride parade, after we exposed the Macy's window with transgender mannequins promoting that event. (Watch out, eHarmony: Transgenders will demand their section next! After all, 13 or so states already have "gender identity" protected in their laws, and the radicals are working on that here in Mass.)

Our report became a big story in itself, so much so that the float of a "gay" dating service -- ManHunt.net -- was a take-off on the tranny mannequin theme.
Curious but innocent as we were, we then looked up the company behind that float: ManHunt.net. That was an eye-opener, and we believe it catches the essence of what gays are really looking for in an online "dating service".

Does eHarmony really know what it's getting into? What does "man seeking man" really mean? Check out the photos on ManHunt for the answer. Here are some phrases we picked up from the web site tour:

If he's out there, he's on here. Get on, get off.
What are you looking for? college boys - Latin papis - black guys - bi-curious - hairy daddies - young and hung - thugs - boys next door - total tops - hungry bottoms ...
Search options: ...
What he's into: toys - exhibition - s**king - f***ing - leather - pig play - LTR - feet/socks - FF - WS - toys ...
Position...
When he wants it...
How he likes it...
Where it happens..
.

Will eHarmony have to include these specifics for their "gay" clients? And if they don't, will they be charged with discrimination again?

Youth Pride Awardee Sings "Hello Kitty"

Definitely world class. Mark Snyder, QueerToday extremist and awardee at tomorrow's Youth Pride, sings "Hello Kitty":

Don't miss the collection of Snyder's videos on YouTube: http://youtube.com/user/milo200. And, SEEN ON HIS BLOG, WingAndMark.blogspot.com:

Wing ... & Mark Snyder (No nicknames yet other than Sissy) have been big, queer, sissy lovers since September 27, 2004. Wing is 21 years old, and he grew up in Flushing, Queens (New York City). Mark is 24 years old, and he grew up on a mountain in rural Pennsylvania. The two met at Axis nightclub in Boston. Ever since that drag queen gave Mark a piece of scrap paper to write down Wing's number, they've been inseparable.

What does Snyder mean by "sissy"? Watch his video to find out.

And tomorrow, Youth Pride recognizes Mark's great achievements.

Mass. Commission on Gay & Lesbian Youth Designing "Safe Schools" Programs

Here are two prominent "transsexual/transgender" members of the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. You can learn more about their vision for our children at the Commission's next public meeting coming up Monday, Dec. 17, 7-9 p.m. at the Brockton Holiday Inn.

Grace Sterling Stowell, Vice Chairman of the Commmission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and Executive Director of BAGLY (Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth), which puts on the annual Queer/Trans prom at Boston City Hall, ending the Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth's Pride Day celebration every May. Until we brought attention to it, Stowell directed youth to a "male-to-female" surgery web site on the BAGLY resource page.

Gunner Scott, founder of GenderCrash and trans activist about town, is pushing hard for the "Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes" Bill H1722 now filed in the Mass. Legislature. Here's Scott, profiled in Bay Windows: Scott believes that there is a whole group of people who are trans amorous (even if those individuals don’t comprise an identifiable community) and these “transam” folks also face transphobia. Scott, who now identifies as a genderqueer female-to-masculine person, speaks from experience on both sides of that romantic situation. “Before I came out as trans I was partnered with a transwoman. I was lesbian-identified and I lost more [queer] friends being with her than I did when I first came out [as trans].” Scott hopes that his trans activism will help create a world in which all people feel free to live in the identity that they most relate to....

Now, the Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth is looking for new members. Their plan is to increase the number of youth members and "transgender" commissioners. The new transgender members will probably be in addition to the four openly trans members already on the Commission.

We're not sure if the Commission has re-defined "youth" yet, as Scott proposed at a meeting last March, to include ALL public school students, grades K-12. But possibly we'll soon be seeing a kindergartner or 1st-grader on the Commission! We're sure his contributions will be on a par with the current members' thoughtful ideas for inclusive, diverse, and safe schools.

Here's a list of current Commission members.

[From Bay Windows:] Mass. Youth Commission to meet in Brockton (12-12-07)

The Massachusetts Commission on GLBT Youth will meet Dec. 17 at the Holiday Inn in Brockton , the latest in a series of meetings held in different regions of the state to conduct commission business and meet with local youth and advocates to assess the situation of LGBT youth in Massachusetts. Thus far the commission has held meetings in Boston, Hyannis and Worcester, and in March the commission will hold a meeting in Springfield.

Jason Smith, chair of the commission, said a group of local youth will address the commission at the Brockton meeting and talk about the issues facing LGBT youth in their city. Prior to the public meeting the commission will also hold a private discussion forum with local LGBT and allied youth to hear firsthand about their experiences at schools, in their families and in their neighborhoods. The commission held a similar event at the Worcester meeting in October that brought out about 20 young people involved in local gay/straight alliances....

The meeting will include discussion of LGBT youth funding in the fiscal year 2009 budget and the state of the Department of Education’s Safe Schools program. Commissioners will also vote on a slate of new candidates to fill the slots of commissioners who have resigned. Smith said he was unsure how many prospective commissioners were on the slate, but many of them help the commission achieve its goal of increasing representation of various communities, including LGBT youth themselves.

"Most of the commissioners that have applied and that we’re looking at are youth or potential commissioners who are transgender, and there’s also a lot of people representing Western Mass," said Smith, who added that there are commissioners from southern Mass. and Cape Ann as well. "We’re definitely looking to regionalize." [emphasis added]

The Commission's next meeting (open to the public) is taking place at the Holiday Inn in Brockton next Monday, Dec. 17, from 7-9 p.m.

Acton-Boxborough Regional H.S. Directs Kids to Sacrilegious Filth

If anyone still doubts the anti-Christian character and pure evil of the radical homosexual movement, they need to read the posting, "Queering Christ" [reprinted below] from the filth blog, QueerToday. This blog and its activists are currently in touch with Acton-Boxborough High School students because of "The Laramie Project" production there this week.

Want proof? The MatthewShepard.org web site, where the students are sent by the play, has a teen-friendly site called "Matthew's Place," where a "resources" page for Massachusetts goes right to BAGLY (the "Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Youth). BAGLY's former office manager ("Mark" below) is the founder and editor of QueerToday. One of its blogger/commenters ("Trevor" below) is BAGLY's current office manager. BAGLY is in direct partnership with the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and the homosexual clubs in our schools (GSAs), including Acton-Boxborough's, and puts on the queer/transgender high school prom at Boston City Hall each year. The director of BAGLY is a "male-to-female transsexual" who lectures children all over the state on the mysteries of "gender identity" and "sex changes." Bear in mind that people working in these "GLBT teen centers" do not undergo criminal record checks, but are all dealing with young teens (with the support of your local schools).

Back to the filth from QueerToday: We posted an excerpt and link to this vile sacrilege a little while back ("The Laramie Project and Hating Jesus", 10-1-07). Maybe it was missed?

Queering Christ [from QueerToday, 10-1-07]

Currently I am enrolled at a pretty Christian School, Andover Newton Theological School, in order to move forward with my ordination as a Unitarian Universalist minister. While I do not consider myself Christian I was raised both as a Christian and as a Unitarian Universalist. I have thus come to appreciate many of the stories within Christianity and have also been deeply hurt by the right wing choosing to use the revolutionary, anarchist, pro-liberation, Jesus against me and others I care about. Currently I am reading a VERY queer book for one of my classes. The book is Queering Christ by Robert E. Goss. So far the book is INCREDIBLE. My intention is to post some of my favorite highlights on queertoday in order for others to enjoy a very different experience of Jesus, one that does not make him the evil hater that so many choose to use him as. Do be aware that some folks may be offended by the sexual content of the passages I share over the next couple of weeks. I am not claiming that Christianity is easily made pro-queer, but so many folks are trying, struggling at times, and I appreciate their efforts. I hope we can all enjoy this queer perspective from a Jesuit priest, regardless of whether or not we are Christian...

"My technique of meditative prayer was to envision Christ with me and experience him as a lover. Scott Haleman, Betty Dodson, and Joe Kramer argue that masturbation can be spiritual and can become a form of transcendental meditation. Masturbation can harness fantasies and sexual energy. When prolonged, it can stimulate and extend pleasure. When fantasies are focused into making love with Christ, the experience opens itself to a fundamental and profound consciousness of God. My visualizations of Jesus were certainly explicit, erotically envisioning various forms of making love to Jesus the Christ. I had sexual intercourse with Jesus. Sometimes he was the top, and sometimes he was the bottom. My relationship with Christ was mutual and deep."

"The Laramie Project" and Hating Jesus

Note to Acton-Boxborough Regional High School Administrators and Faculty:

Here's your required reading for this week: "Queering Christ" in today's radical blog QueerToday (10-1-07). This blog recently published an attack on a MassResistance family in Acton, after being contacted by two of your drama students.

Read the postings on QueerToday, especially today's. These are the people your students are encouraged to seek out by your fall play, "The Laramie Project." These are the people your students are in fact communicating with, hatefully sharing private information about a family in their community, and using a classmate as a political tool. These are the people who are thrilled to see you're producing that play, so they can recruit more young people for their queer world. These are the people who admit they're anti-Christian, yet still insist on talking about Jesus -- as long as he's part of their twisted sexual fantasies. So you need to read the kind of obscenities and sacrilege they proudly publish.

The fellow behind QueerToday's post, "Queering Christ," is the youth minister at the GLBT "Metropolitan Community Church" in Boston and former member of the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. That church gives their space over to BAGLY (Boston Alliance for Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Youth), whose director is a transsexual "male-to-female" and co-chairman of the Mass. Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. These are the groups where your Acton-Boxborough students are led through your Gay-Straight Alliance, Common Ground.

Your fall play, "The Laramie Project," is distinctly anti-Christian. So your students will relish the radical, false, sexualized portrayal of Christ on QueerToday. (The minister the "Laramie" play lyingly portrays as representative of Evangelical Christians is Fred Phelps. The ministers the play embraces are the Unitarian, and the Catholic priest who defies his Bishop's authority. The next liberal step beyond would be a priest claiming to have sexual relations with Jesus -- as does that the author of the book, Queering Christ.)

(The book's author, Robert E. Goss, is a former Jesuit priest, was a radical activist in "Act Up" and "Queer Nation," and led the homosexual "Catholic" group "Dignity" in Boston through 1982. He's now a minister with the GLBT "Metropolitan Community Church.")

Excerpts from today's sick post by Jason Lydon on the book, Queering Christ, on QueerToday:

[Book author Goss writes:] "My technique of meditative prayer was to envision Christ with me and experience him as a lover.

Unbelievable. And there are a whole series of queer sexualizations of Christ coming up on the blog, they say...

Thank you, Acton-Boxborough High School for leading our children to this.

Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) in Massachusetts

Which high schools in Massachusetts have GSAs? Our new Massachusetts Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth has informed us they do not have a list of GSAs in the state -- though it's their job to work directly with them. So we'll publish the best list we have, from GLSEN's "Day of Silence" participating schools list (from 2005), updated by input from our activists around the state, plus info from an out-of-date Mass. Dept. of Education web page (still posted on 7-28-07). Interesting that GLSEN (behind the "Day of Silence") has stopped posting its list of participating high schools shortly after we publicized their web page, though they do now say there are 242 GSAs in Massachusetts. We only have 209 schools on this list; so the reality is even worse than it appears here! We now await corrections from the Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth ... and GLSEN. (For lists of GSAs in other states, check out Mission America's list, also compiled from GLSEN's earlier information.)

Children's Hospital Boston Trolling for "Trans" Young Adults

We recently got wind that Children's Hospital, already drawing attention for Dr. Norman Spack's transgender hormonal experiments with pre-pubescent children, is trolling for "transgender" young adults for a study. The lure? A CVS gift certificate.

What's shocking, once again, is that a major hospital in Boston accepts the idea that gender is fluid, and that there is a legitimate self-identified population of "transgender" people. This message was sent to "trans" college students by Gunner Scott, "female-to-male" member of the Mass. Commission on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth, and genius behind "Gendercrash".

From: Gunner <gunnerscott@gmail.com
Date: Jun 22, 2007
Subject: Researchers at Children's Hospital looking for transgender people between 18-30
To: Mtpc members, mtpccollege, mtpcwest, etc.

Are you between the ages of 18-30 years old? Researchers at Children's Hospital Boston would like your help! We are conducting a study to improve questions on a new health survey for young adults. Participants will:
* Take a short email survey about gender.
* Then be interviewed afterward over the telephone so you can tell us what you think of the survey questions and how we can improve them.
* Receive a CVS gift card.

More on Romney & Marriott Porn

We were pleased to see James Dobson's Focus on the Family has addressed the Romney-Marriott Hotels-porn issue. See our post on this yesterday. And listen to the audio of today's "Family News in Focus" (7-5-07): Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, an outspoken critic of pornography, is called to task for his ties to Marriott hotels; a chain that makes money by providing porn to guests.

Then we saw this AP report: "Romney criticized for hotel pornography" which includes the usual Romney prevarications. Note that he's not against the porn in the hotel rooms, but is only worried about kids accidentally stumbling on it!

During a recent Associated Press interview, Romney said he did not recall pornography coming up for discussion while he was on the Marriott board from 1992 to 2001. Despite being chairman of the board's audit committee, he also said he was unaware of how much revenue pornography may have generated for the hotel chain.

Romney said his current concern is not about pornography per se, but children unwittingly stumbling upon it on the Internet or television. "I am not pursuing an effort to try and stop adults from being able to acquire or see things that I find objectionable; that's their right. But I do vehemently oppose practices or business procedures that will allow kids to be exposed to obscenity," the former Massachusetts governor said.

Funny, he didn't have a problem with his Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth introducing Massachusetts children to obscenity.
